Its not like Eyetech are a large concern. Sheesh .... give them a chance. My dealer told me something like there are three ppl working at Eyetech.

If that is the case - two ppl have to stop work to answer phone and emails. That leaves just one guy to unpack the bulk container.

The fellow who has to keep answering the phone needs some time to arrange OUTWARDS shipping or the boards will just fill up their premises.

(You think you've been waiting a l-o-n-g time? I'm STILL using a '80s era A2000!)

Considering Alan is the employer (you were thinking of employee, right? ;-) ), I wouldn't say it was so bad if his grandmother stopped by with some cookies from time to time. He woulda deserved that. But I don't even know if he HAS a grandmother :-)

Is it worth the wait?  Is it really?  This is something you can live with?  Even if you get it today, the best you'll do is UAE--and, trust me, you can do better.

Amithlon is better and cheaper, even at H&P's $250 price-tag.  MorphOS is better, and cheaper.  In fact, the A1 is the worst possible choice you can make.  People can compare the G3 to the G4 all day long, but it still doesn't cure the fact that the A1 cannot run Amiga applications as fast as my 040 A1200--because it's stuck with the oldest, least updated, and slowest version of UAE possible.

You are only hurting yourself by doing this, as you will soon discover.  

A bit more about me, just FYI:  I bought Amithlon when it came out, both os3.5 and 3.9, elbox's mediator for my a1200, AmigaForever, and now a pegasos.  Because these products have a proven amiga track record.  A1 is like the BoXeR though, a pipe dream--with leaks.

Since you are payed by Genesi and a member of their "family" I think you should watch your words. Comparing the A1 to the BoXeR is clearly an attempt to spread FUD (I have seen enough A1 XE to know that it is shipping).

I understand that you love Genesi and your Pegasos, but why dont you stick to your own (Genesis) products and stop your crusade against Amiga Inc/Hyperion/Eyetech? (MAI article, your Bill McEwen thread, and now this). You can at least _TRY_ to be constructive in your criticism.
