I really think that Eyetech should hurry up getting rest of the A1XEs and ship them as fast as a bullet! I'm sick of the long wait! I want my A1G4XE NOW, that damn it!!! :madashell:  :madashell:  :madashell:

Eyetech, you hear me?! NO MORE WAITING! GET THE REST OF THE BOARDS NOW AND SHIP THEM OUT IMMEDIATELY!

How do you think we feel in the UK, we appear to be last on the list even though we live in the same country, I'm an hour drive away, so theoretically I could easily go and pick one up.

Dealers first and People who ordered a board before NOV 1st 2002 are first on the list.

So UK people have got to wait until everybody else in the world has got theirs first.

Eyetech you are taking the P!$$ now!!!!

"...We expect to get the backlog cleared by the end of the month, but only if people avoid the temptation to ring up and ask....."

Well i did resist the temptation and i still have not got the thing. End of the month has gone.

This has now been superseeded with the several batches approx 2 weeks appart statement.

So one day they are saying you'll have them by the end of april, now they are saying they ain't got a clue when you'll get it, basically.

So, depending on where you appear on their list thats any time before now and end of july.

What about people who are going away on holiday during may, june and july and can't make arrangements for it to be delivered else where ?

Its either going to go missing or end up back at Eyetech, after bouncing around in the back of a transit for a fortnight, undeliverable.

NOV 1st its now May 1st

6 Months Alan...... How much longer ? People like to manage their finances, How do you expect people to keep large amounts of funds in the bank, not knowing if its gong to be taken or not. Better not dip into that just incase Alan takes the money for my Amiga-1 this week....... Yeah right.

Sort it out and Sort it out now ALAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And if you haven't paid for it yet -- well what can I say? Quit ya b*tching.

Siggy.

It does not matter if he has paid for it or not by having your payment details, debit / credit card details,  you have made a commitment to pay and therefore entered into a contract for goods or services. You are subject to the same protection by consumer rights.

Golly, Eyetech's A1 is beginning to sound a bit like the BoXeR fiasco...

I feel really bad for those who've pre-ordered and waited for months.

Didn't Eyetech claim a few weeks ago that all boards ordered (+ more)
had been built and tested ? WTF is stopping them ?
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

What's the point in getting the board now when it's sth like AmigaONEUX (remember A3000UX?;)? I'm sure Eyetech will have a full stock of boards when OS4 comes out.

Why not just buy this AmigaONE amiga.org post ?

By the way, what CD-ROM software is bundled with the AmigaONE, for those who got it. Is Amiga Forever or any UAEamiga emulator included? What operating system is included (obviously Linux, but what distro?) ?

I will send thousands of mail to push you forward!

DO NOT DO THAT!

Mail bombing someone's email box is rude and unthoughtful.

Do you think that they would actually WANT to sell you a board after all that? I guess if they needed another sale..

However, you would be considered a nuisance, not a genuine customer.

Quit the useless nagging people!

Eyetech allready said that they can't send more then 40 to 50 a day because they are testing them again in England.

So the boards are comming. You can't do more than you can do.

What do you want them to spend their time doing? Wading through your pointless emails or shipping AmigaONEs?

Just relax! Take your medication, relax, and don't worry about it. Good things come to those who wait

Well.. when I asked from Eyetech about Aone in almost year ago. It was then confirmed to be fully tested, fully functional and ready to mass market.

Now, year later.. I belive they have learned a lot about product testing  ;-)

Alan announced that they will again test them and
will send out small batches (of the already produced
boards) every two weeks. Someone at
amigaworld.net spoke about "End of July" for every
board to be sent out of this first batch. Don't know
where that info comes from though.

This is ridiculous. This seems perfectly fair - whoever ordered them first gets them first. You think you deserve special treatment because you live close to Eyetech?

Have you ever seen what shipment can do to a piece of hardware? :-)
Honestly, consider it a good service that they test it again.
