There's a war between AInc and genesi: the war of blah blah blah... the only thing they can truly deliver, after all...

Btw: meanwhile there's also a picture at MorphOS-News.de.

On the case you can also see the new Genesi-logo. Unfortunately without colours it doesn't look that good, IMHO. At the coloured logo, the blocks are multi-colored, ranging from green, blue, orange to the one block which is the dot over the i of Genesi - and that one is red... :-)

What am I supposed to think of a 'new computer', where all they know about it, is what the case looks like, and year old common knowledge specs of the ppc mainboard.

What is the memory, what is the expansion (in that tiny case), what is the removable media, what is the graphics card, what is the price?

If they wanted to create a buzz about a product, they should have leaked info to a rumor site....

this is an official announcement....but they clearly aren't ready to announce anything....I have NEVER seen a professional computer manufacturer OFFICIALLY announce, 'we are going to build something, but we won't tell you, nanny nanny boo boo'

This is comical.

Absolutely not - as you see, they've been successful: everyone is talking about it.

My comments were in regards to one company partially announcing  product...that is comical.  Whether they are a success, ultimately, is not the subject of my commentary.

What I will say, is what kind of consumer/journalists, don't care about things as basic as the COST, WHAT IT DOES, etc......

this is a nothing announcement.  Whether the company is nothing or not, is another subject...I happen to like a lot of their direction, but this type of announcement shouldn't please anyone and deserves severe criticism.

@Jedi:
A reality for you, yes. Does that same reality hold true for average joe user?

@Senex:
"Absolutely not - as you see, they've been successful: everyone is talking about it."

I don't see it. Their product is still not readily available for the public. They're diverting boards that COULD go to the public to this new partner. Do I need to wear some sort of specially tinted glasses to see this success properly?

@All:
The dot over the "i" in Genesi is red.. I wonder what that would resemble if you rotated that block a bit? ;-)

Well, obviously there's not that much new info - everyone knows the specs of the board, etc. There's only that cooperation (for whatever) with Plexuscom. Being more precisely might have been quite unspectacular - but that way bbrv give MUCH room for speculation about what exactly this cooperation is about, everyone is thinking and talking about their press-release, etc. - Do you see now what I mean?

Well, it's not the final official logo, it seems - so rather take it as a kind of study. :-)
