I now have $130 to spend on a computer. This includes shipping.
I know I'm going to get slammed for this but...
With such a tight budget, I would suggest you forgo an Amiga solution and scrounge for some PC parts. I have a P2-450, motherboard with RAM/on-board-audio and a Hercules Terminator 2x/i AGP video card that I would let go for half the cost of shipping. You would still need a modem or ethernet card, a harddisk, case, monitor, keyboard, and mouse however.
Besides, I know from expierience that the internet on an A500 is a serious pain. My connection to the internet for the first 3 years was a modified A500 running OS2.1. Web browsing was painful. EMail, FTP, and IRC were just about all it was good for. The fact that almost all the good network apps of the time used MUI didn't help.
Also, with a PC-based solution, your options for inexpensive future upgrades are much greater. And there are good network apps available free for x86 computers. Unless I missed the news, there aren't any free web browsers on our favorite platform yet.
If you're interested, let me know and I'll fire it up this weekend. I also have other hardware I'm willing to part with inexpensively.
