Wasn't the 8088 an Intel chip at about 4Mhz made just after the 8086? If so I wouldn't bother at all - even later MS-DOS won't run on it. In fact, I wouldn't bother with any kind of x86 board - it won't be an "Amiga", and a 486 is the absolute mininum for web browsing.
For $130, perhaps you'd be better off getting an accelerated A1200? Unless you want to add a graphics card, I cannot imagine how bad the web would be in OCS screenmodes :-o
