I really think you need to grow up. Or get a life. Or maybe both.

I'm sorry, I know that sounds harsh, but you would do me a biiiig favour if you would stop posting A1-related threads until you recieved your A1 or you canceled your order.

That's a good idea. Probably Eyetech just forgot about the A1 and "thousands of mails" might help to remind them about the outstanding orders.

When i get my board, THEN i will be happy!

Why? Because you can install Linux on it? You can already install Linux on your current machine, you know.

Will you start five or six "HYPERION NEEDS TO SPEED UP, OR I'LL GET A HEART ATTACK AFTER TORTURING EVERYBODY IN MY VICINITY WITH COUNTLESS INQUIRIES ABOUT THE STATUS OF OS4" threads once your A1 arrived and you're waiting for OS4?

Spend some time with your girlfriend, play some games on your current computer, watch TV or do whatever you do to relax. Don't think about the A1 (cancel your order if that helps) and wait until the A1/OS4 combo is available from your local dealer.

And always keep in mind that Eyetech don't "owe" you anything. If Alan decides to scrap the whole project tomorrow, he has lost a lot of money, while you just lost a girl friend (or whoever else has to endure your constant hysterical ups and downs).

Have you paid for this machine already?
If so I can understand you may be a bit impatient - but if it's not built, it's not built.
Last year my wife parted with a significant amount of money to buy my Christmas/Anniversary/Birthday present.
She wanted to buy me 'the last motorcycle I will ever ride' -  She wanted it to be ready for Xmas - but due to problems beyond anyones control it wasn't ready.

New Years came and it still wasn't ready - our anniversary came and still not ready.
My Birthday was at the beginning of this month, and you can guess.... it wasn't ready.
As a special treat though she told me about it and and put me on a plane to L.A. to meet with the guy building it so I could get a guided tour of his shop (which was a big enough present by itself!) and see what will eventually be my own chopper.

Sometimes things take time - thats all there is to it.

And if you haven't paid for it yet -- well what can I say? Quit ya b*tching.

Hi,

Just a few words to say that I got my board (A1 XE-G4) yesterday.  

So be patient, I'm sure that Eyetech and all related dealers  are doing their best to deliver boards as soon as possible.

However, I should add that I've ordered directly from Eyetech in May/June 2002.

Hope this helps to wait for your boards

How do you think we feel in the UK, we appear to be last on the list even though we live in the same country, I'm an hour drive away, so theoretically I could easily go and pick one up.

Dealers first and People who ordered a board before NOV 1st 2002 are first on the list.

So UK people have got to wait until everybody else in the world has got theirs first.

Well i did resist the temptation and i still have not got the thing. End of the month has gone.

This has now been superseeded with the several batches approx 2 weeks appart statement.

So one day they are saying you'll have them by the end of april, now they are saying they ain't got a clue when you'll get it, basically.

So, depending on where you appear on their list thats any time before now and end of july.

What about people who are going away on holiday during may, june and july and can't make arrangements for it to be delivered else where ?
 
Its either going to go missing or end up back at Eyetech, after bouncing around in the back of a transit for a fortnight, undeliverable.

NOV 1st its now May 1st

6 Months Alan...... How much longer ? People like to manage their finances, How do you expect people to keep large amounts of funds in the bank, not knowing if its gong to be taken or not. Better not dip into that just incase Alan takes the money for my Amiga-1 this week....... Yeah right.

Sort it out and Sort it out now ALAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
