I knew a MOS fan would not fail to do exactly what you have just done.

If he wanted to go for Pegasos/MOS i think he has been around long enough to do so with out you needing to tell him.

He's not a newbie you know.
-----------

Can ask you a simple question? How can I be a "MOS fan" when I don't even have Pegasos or MorphOS?
You're barking at the wrong tree now, go pick someone whose been on MOS/Pegasos side for a lot longer. My comment was just intended for a friendly suggestion, nothing more.

And if you are referring to my avatar, well, to be honest: its not made by me

Spending £600 on a PC is a waste of money, and it will be totally worthless in a year. You should be able to get a usable one for half that price.

Even better, you could get stuff for your PC that you could use on your A1 and toss that PC motherboard out when your A1 comes. :-)

I don't blame you for disliking Linux. It really is a load of old rubbish.

Suddenly? .. wow.. took you quite a long time. I gave up hope last november... and it's been about four months now, still no progress. Why don't you go for Pegasos like I did ..? haven't received mine yes, but ffs, its much closer than a1, let alone os4.

Baby, darling, Alkemyst. I have no side.. I have highest respect for Hyperion and Eyetech (as you may have seen if you read ann.lu)

Don't speak something you clearly don't know of. I am Amiga user since -87, amiga.org poster since last friday. You possibly can't know how I feel, or how I think.

As you towarded all these blames against me, I think its more than relevant how I feel or think.

You don't seem to realise that I *AM NOT* on anyones side, or wish bad for Eyetech/Hyperion/Amiga eventhough I got fed up of waiting. Maybe lately I have posted more positive for MOS/Pegasos but you can't be so blind not seeing why, can you?

I understand But you should not bash for the sake of bashing cos you can.

Likt the Amiga.inc T-Shirt thing that is going around atm.

Im not happy about the TShirt thing but i dont go on & on about it.

You came across as  door to door salesman who got wind of me wanting to switch from  gas to electric but you stepted in to tried to get me to turn to coal even tho i had already made up my mind.

Anyway i will not continue with this now off topic debate

So long.   :-)

LOL!

That's what I said in 1998 when I abandoned my A1200 in favour of a 166MHz PC. After numerous other PC upgrades and purchases, I actually felt quite bored with my PEECEEs.  So in late 2002 I pulled my old 14mhz A1200 and haven't looked back. Since then I have upgraded to an 040, purchased am old A2000, I justpurchased an A4000D which I should have by tomorrow.  Of course to fund these purchases I sold two of three PCs that were in this house (of course I kept the most powerful PC ;-)  ).

Believe me, in two to three years max you'll be back
  :-).

Cheers

@EDS.bod

You will be back in one form or another, If you like Amiga software but hate bullshit promises from Amiga companies then just get a x86 machine bang Amithlon on it and use that and get the best of all worlds  :-)

I would like to get AMithlon, if only to use it on my machine at Uni  ;-) . But with all the problems, should I?

By the way, does Bernie go to Monash University in Melbourne?

If you mean purchasing it from Haage & Partner then i would say no but if you downloaded it and then send payment to Meyer then go for it.

Product wise Amithlon is great and i would highly recommend it but i will never recommend Haage & Partner.

Just to clarify a few things:-

I started out in the Amiga scene with a CDTV multimedia pack and stuck with it for four years.  If that's not dedication, then I don't know what is!

Also, I've now sold *ALL* my classic Amiga gear and I don't want to spend that money again building it back up.  I bought Shogun:Total War for my fiance's mum and dad's PC and that made me realise how far behind the Amiga is in the game stakes.

And regarding Linux, I've just completed a beginners course for Linux at work and I still don't understand it!  I want to use Amiga OS but I can't.  I also need my own machine to program on instead of sharing a machine with the rest of the family.  The deadline I set myself to buy a new machine was 01/03/03.  That is today and it was due to be the A1.  So on Monday, I'm going to buy PC gear.  That will swallow all the money that I had set aside for the A1.  As I'm getting married in August, I wont have any money to buy an A1, regardless of whether the A1 and OS4 is a success or not.  I wont be able to have anything to do with it.

I hope it all takes off and you guys become the top of the computing tree, but I wont be there with you.

Don't waste your time on someone like Alkemyst. He's so lost from reality,  there is no way any reasonable logic could get thru. You have just seen what kind of people they are. Better let him  to be in his illusionary world and to concentrate makig real difference on real world.  :-P

They are?  i assume you mean people in favour of OS4, blind followers is prolly the term you wanted to use.

Lets be realistic JoannaK, you have a deep hate for anything Amiga.inc or Hyperion, anything they have to say, you will put your own spin on it, it really is getting alittle repetitive.
Why don't you sort it out with an email to those parties involved so we don't have to listen to it so much.

Theres one thing to have constructive criticism, its nice to see, but its another thing just to troll wherever possible.

@EDS.bod

windsorrows is a pain of broken glass where every crack you fix lets the next weakest one become your Albatross. Enjoy!

Amiga! Leave at your own peril!

P.S. Did that make any sense at all?

So I guess that A500, 600, 1000, 2000, CDTV, CD32, are pure garbage then? Thanks for posting here.
