Wow!  Sorry to see this after the amount of work that has been put into building this board.   i have never seen such bad damage to a package like that before! The A1200 NG are sent double boxed in a black cardboard outer box.  To have such bad damage would need immense force- it almost looks like the box has been driven over.   Really bad handling by La Poste -

Please send us the pictures of the outer box and all the components to support@amigakit.com

We will have to make an immediate claim with the postal companies for this.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Hello,

Thank you for your quick response, I really appreciate it.

We will go through all the necessary steps together. I will send you all the requested pictures by email shortly.

It’s obviously very frustrating, especially considering the amount of work that has gone into designing and building this board — I can clearly see that on my side as well. So it’s a frustrating situation for both of us.

At the end of the day, it’s just hardware, and we will sort this out properly.

Thanks again for your support.

Hi,
Very frustrating when you have spent well over £200 on this stuff.
Hope you get sorted very soon, don't Amigakit have postage insurance?

Regards
Ian

Hello,

I am following up regarding my damaged A1200NG.

Following your message, I sent an email the same evening with a WeTransfer link containing all the requested photos. I did not receive any response, and the link eventually expired without being downloaded.

I then sent a second email with a new WeTransfer link, which has also not been downloaded to this day.

Could you please confirm that you received my emails and advise on the next steps?

Thank you.

First of all, thank you for the two Amiga 1200 computers, that were bought through Amigakit, 15 years ago. When that is written, I would like to take the opportunity to complain and make a suggestion, if that is allowed. The wait was four stinkin' months. Once the computers arrived they were half destroyed, but, that's not Amigakit's fault. Instead of the “made to order philosophy”, from my own experience, remembering how there were absolute zero updates in those four months - turn it around, only sell items that are >>available for immediate shipping<<. I think that is fair for everyone - or am I wrong?

How did this story end? I had to wait for my A1200NG for eons back then. Same with my order at retropassion.co.uk, a business somewhat known for its horrible delivery times and service.

Hello,

Still ongoing at the moment.

They have now successfully accessed the photos and are reviewing the situation, so I am waiting for their feedback regarding the next steps.

I will update once everything is resolved.

Thanks.

Hello,

Unfortunately, I have not received any further communication or proposed solution regarding my damaged A1200NG since the photos were finally downloaded.

I have tried to remain patient and cooperative throughout the process and allowed ample time for the matter to be resolved amicably.

However, as a customer, I also have rights regarding goods received damaged during delivery.

As no concrete resolution has been proposed, I now consider the discussion/amicable phase closed and will proceed through formal legal channels.

A formal notice letter was sent this morning.

I will provide a final update once the matter is resolved.

I feel you. A1200.net did finally come out of its hole in the ground after posting a negative feedback on trustpilot in my case with them.

@Ingstein

I'd spread the work around to whoever responds to communication and shows they have the spare capacity or enthusiasm to help. I'm trying Retro32 this time for a repair.

Guessing thats a dig at us. However, we are not a1200.net (they also do not do repairs) and this thread has nothing to do with repairs.

Not at all! I know we have had our differences but I appreciate all the service you have provided me over the years. It seems like the A1200NG has found a significant market and you are now burdened with that success is all. You are now (in my view) too busy to deal with some repair work jobs for Classic machines as you now focus on order fulfilment and support tickets for A600GS/A1200NG and soon to be A4000NG. That seems to be the case! Other recapping/repair services are available...capitalism at work! Obviously, other peoples' experiences will differ and I am not an oracle on your business or market sector. All the best.

There are many thoughts on why there is a lack of response and
here are some ideas to think about. Imagine how many people visit this site and
in this case, it is a computer that was bought last year. Seller wrote in and
some of the needs this person is in by now, is with the postal service not the store.

So, what can one do? It's never easy, one would say, could buyer get another board and
in this case he just wants a refund. That's alright, but you also have to remember
that it is out of their hands by now. The postal service that delivered the package must
expedite their investigation.

Soon buyer will get the refund, it just has to be processed correctly and maybe
unknown to buyer, in the end, by not private pm'ing the store directly, there has been
corrosive damage done to the image of this site. I understand is the buyer wants to
kick the postal service for their poor service. In the end one must just have more
solid patience to pull through this one. Stay safe out there! Thanks for everything you do!
