There are many thoughts on why there is a lack of response and
here are some ideas to think about. Imagine how many people visit this site and
in this case, it is a computer that was bought last year. Seller wrote in and
some of the needs this person is in by now, is with the postal service not the store.

So, what can one do? It's never easy, one would say, could buyer get another board and
in this case he just wants a refund. That's alright, but you also have to remember
that it is out of their hands by now. The postal service that delivered the package must
expedite their investigation.

Soon buyer will get the refund, it just has to be processed correctly and maybe
unknown to buyer, in the end, by not private pm'ing the store directly, there has been
corrosive damage done to the image of this site. I understand is the buyer wants to
kick the postal service for their poor service. In the end one must just have more
solid patience to pull through this one. Stay safe out there! Thanks for everything you do!

Hello,

Unfortunately, I have not received any further communication or proposed solution regarding my damaged A1200NG since the photos were finally downloaded.

I have tried to remain patient and cooperative throughout the process and allowed ample time for the matter to be resolved amicably.

However, as a customer, I also have rights regarding goods received damaged during delivery.

As no concrete resolution has been proposed, I now consider the discussion/amicable phase closed and will proceed through formal legal channels.

A formal notice letter was sent this morning.

I will provide a final update once the matter is resolved.

After you posted photos of the broken board here, the first priority for AmigaKit should have been to send out a replacement ASAP.  Claiming aganst the courier should be a secondary priority.

@Rob

We hand build the A1200NG.  We have a backlog of orders so it takes time to send a replacement board.  They are not off the shelf items.   The customer knows we are working on his replacement board and the secondary task is to try and get some money from La Poste for the terrible damage they did to the original package.  We spent many hours building that board and packing it in double boxes and it looked like it got mangled in a machine- maybe even driven over !

That is a really good question, how long does it take to make a board?
How many components?
Each has to be placed on the board...
Yes, it is manual labor, however, "many hours?"

Agreed, I am not a professional, I have done boards before, it was zip, zap, done.
Roll out some flux and bake, boom!
Each board takes, how long?

From the customer's point of view, some insigt would be nice.
Unknown to us is the hard labor behind all the work you do.
Let's say, 2 hours to make a board, well, that's 8 boards per worker a day.
Lastly, do you have the proper equipment to make these boards?

Originally I thought, a few hours, the most.
For the record, I am not a pro.

So in the end, how labor intense is this?
How are you testing the the boards, x-ray?
In any case, it is not an easy job.
Truth be told, I just don't know enough about it.

Several hours to hand solder a board, flash the hard drive, bench test.
