Don't think that support has been added yet.

This should be working, I just tried some tests and it seems not to be any more. could be a regression with the latest amiberry merge, debug out put shows the correct DBUS commands have been sent to add the ISO, but it doesn't add, nor will it add from the GUI. Am a away for a short while so  will look into this next week.

I received my A600GS yesterday. Trying to install OS3.2 and the mounted ISO does not show up even if CD ROM Drive is ticked.
When I continue and install via adf swapping the F12 menu freezes when I mount random .adf after it progressed above 50% and the setup can't continue. I reproduced the bug successfuly 5+ times

AmiBerry sprouted a new option so that mapping CD drives was off bydefault, so this will hopefully be fixed in next update

Wouldn't mind some more feedback on this aspect, how many ADF changes did you make before it locked up for you? It has been working for me, but I haven't insytalled a whole OS from ADFs.

Note you can have 4 ADF based drives so should be able to insert 4 floppies at a time, to reduce changes, though ofcourse it shouldn't lock up anyway.

I've prepared an extensive email about this problem and sent it to Amiga-Kit Support.
I inserted two youtube links that I recorded regarding these problems. Maybe you can ask someone from there to forward the email to you?

It happens every time, no matter what I try. I know how to install workbench on an old Amiga
and I even followed some instruction videos, like the one from iowtheme "Set up a Workbench from beginning to end on the New A1200NG" just to be sure I was not making any mistake.

Since the ISO can not be mounted, I use regular ADF swap installation. The swapping goes well for a certain amount of time and then after 50% of installation progress, when I press F12 to insert the next floppy, usually after fonts.adf,  storage.adf, extras.adf etc, the menu freezes, and it can't return to the installation screen while inserting disks subscreen is still operational.

I've tried eliminating all possibilities, so I tried installing it on the original 64GB SD card that came with A600GS, another 256GB cloned SD card, tried making .hdf of various sizes from 20MB to 4GB in WinUAE, Amiberry and Amiberry-Lite, tried all possible custom system configurations, copied ADF files from AmigaOS 3.2 disc 5+ times to avoid corrupted files, tried 5 different USB sticks, 2 different USB hubs, tried copying ADF files to Work partition on A600GS instead of swapping them from USB stick, tried restoring defaults and even redownloading all files from Advanced Update page, tried using only one floppy drive, tried using all 4 of them and mounting 4ADFs at a time, but it always freezes the F12 screen no matter what I do.
Everything I tried here works perfectly on Amiberry and Amiberry-Lite on my Debian PC so the corrupted files and faulty equipment can probably be eliminated.

I found another guy on English Amiga Board (PeterK) who reported the same problem about a month ago.
He did something interesting with screenshots and concluded that the actual installation is still underway even if F12 menu is frozen and you can blindly insert ADFs and finish installation if you are patient enough.
You can find his post here: https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=118321&page=10

Here are the links for my videos. First one shows ISO not mounting and the second one shows ADF swap screen freeze.

Thank you for your reply and please let me know if I can be of any more assistance and provide some more info.

PS. Sorry for my English, I probably made many mistakes

Thanks for the detailed follow up.

One test you could do for me if you have time is to open the Insert disk window, and cancel instead of choosing the new disk, does it eventually lock up then too?

I can't reproduce the behaviour here at the moment, but we did have  bug like this along while back related to a leak of CMA memory. The code related to that was fixed so it's odd the issue should suddenly reoccur. Or it could be similar symptoms for a different reason.....

PS the ISO mounting issue will be fixed in the next update. AmiBerry sprouted a new automout CDFS option while I was looking the other way :-) Before hand this effectively defaulted to on, now needs enabling explictly.  Without it the OS has to do it via a bootstrap floppy or similar.

I bought this amazing device to tinker with it along with problems it has so I will be glad to help :) I am here to help and learn from all of you. Just tell me how would you like me to report it, via email, here on this thread or in personal message? I 'll do it later when I come home. Cheers

I tested the thing you asked. Your suspicion was correct...

First I eliminated one more factor and that is wireless keyboard+mouse combo and used regular wired mouse and keyboard plugged in 2 USB ports in the back of A600GS.

I loaded up OS 3.2 Install.adf only without any USB stick or mounted .hdf file.
Then I started spamming F12 -> Insert new disk -> cancel and after 9th time the menu froze again.

Then I loaded default unmodified AmiBench and started spamming the same thing there, and it also froze, but after cancelling the menu 15+ times.

The interesting thing is that I was able to install OS 3.1.4 because it uses only 6 ADFs and 7th one is inserting Install.adf again in the end.

So the critical number of "Insert new disk" clicks is 8 and above

Here are the videos of OS 3.2 and AmiBench menu bugs:

Maybe the next thing I can do is if you send me your A600GS SD card image where you can not reproduce this problem, in case it is the same version as the one you supply with the device not some development version, so I can flash it and try to create the problem on my device?

What are the odds that my actual hardware is flawed in some way?

Feel free to ask for anything I can do to help or test.

Cheers

Thanks for the feedback, I'll do more tests based on that on my production image.

One other test if you have the time is to see if toggling the F12 requester by itself can reproduce the issue? Might take longer.

The original issue was with PAUSE UNPAUSE repeatedly in which case F12 would cause it too, but take longer, there is an extra UNPAUSE PAUSE step between the F12 window and the insert disk window opening to allow the amiberry screen to refresh.

I will of course be trying that too....

Can you confirm which version of AmiBerry you have installed at present?

The information should be displayed in the System tab.

I did what you asked and the F12 menu freezes after doing the F12-> Resume sequence 20 or so times .
It is the same in OS 3.1.4, OS 3.2 and AmiBench. Can you please provide me with an image you are using if it is comercial one so I can give it a go and maybe, for a change I don't get this problem anymore or you have some thing other in mind that I can test and report back?

Here is a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGy7sXhEfHw

Sorry for recording with my phone, I need some time to arrange my setup and video capture...
