Wouldn't mind some more feedback on this aspect, how many ADF changes did you make before it locked up for you? It has been working for me, but I haven't insytalled a whole OS from ADFs.
Note you can have 4 ADF based drives so should be able to insert 4 floppies at a time, to reduce changes, though ofcourse it shouldn't lock up anyway.
I've prepared an extensive email about this problem and sent it to Amiga-Kit Support.
I inserted two youtube links that I recorded regarding these problems. Maybe you can ask someone from there to forward the email to you?
It happens every time, no matter what I try. I know how to install workbench on an old Amiga
and I even followed some instruction videos, like the one from iowtheme "Set up a Workbench from beginning to end on the New A1200NG" just to be sure I was not making any mistake.
Since the ISO can not be mounted, I use regular ADF swap installation. The swapping goes well for a certain amount of time and then after 50% of installation progress, when I press F12 to insert the next floppy, usually after fonts.adf, storage.adf, extras.adf etc, the menu freezes, and it can't return to the installation screen while inserting disks subscreen is still operational.
I've tried eliminating all possibilities, so I tried installing it on the original 64GB SD card that came with A600GS, another 256GB cloned SD card, tried making .hdf of various sizes from 20MB to 4GB in WinUAE, Amiberry and Amiberry-Lite, tried all possible custom system configurations, copied ADF files from AmigaOS 3.2 disc 5+ times to avoid corrupted files, tried 5 different USB sticks, 2 different USB hubs, tried copying ADF files to Work partition on A600GS instead of swapping them from USB stick, tried restoring defaults and even redownloading all files from Advanced Update page, tried using only one floppy drive, tried using all 4 of them and mounting 4ADFs at a time, but it always freezes the F12 screen no matter what I do.
Everything I tried here works perfectly on Amiberry and Amiberry-Lite on my Debian PC so the corrupted files and faulty equipment can probably be eliminated.
I found another guy on English Amiga Board (PeterK) who reported the same problem about a month ago.
He did something interesting with screenshots and concluded that the actual installation is still underway even if F12 menu is frozen and you can blindly insert ADFs and finish installation if you are patient enough.
You can find his post here:
