Aspect Ratio 4:3 non correct
« on: August 31, 2024, 07:26:50 PM »
Hi, today I tested A600GS and I have tested some games and they are not in 4:3 aspect ratio as it works perfectly for others, e.g. Awesome, Shadow of The Beast.

Is it possible to solve it?

the photos are taken directly from the TV and do not come out in 4:3 with a600gs.

You ignored my question. You also said those two games are perfect. Hence me asking to explain.

sorry, I wrote it wrong, Awesome and Shadow of the Beast don't start in 4:3, but also many others games.

Fai prima a provarlo sul tuo, vedrai che molti giochi non sono in 4:3 ma in 16:9.

I will have to test myself. No one else has complained of this issue.

Please also post English.

I really don't understand what you complain about. What do you mean by "not 4:3"? If the display had the wrong aspect ratio, it would be stretched in one direction. But if I compare your photos to other screen shots, for example

they have exactly the same aspect ratio. So how else do you expect the display should look like?

If you miss black borders around it, that's probably because the games use 320x200 resolution which de facto fills a 16:10 screen perfectly. You should be happy about it.

No, I absolutely complain, it is not emulating the screen correctly! Try for example AGS, that is a correct emulation of the screen !

Hmmmm, AGS uses WHDLoad, I'm guessing?
So its the same if booting say adf of these games?
Les try and understand, so AGS loaded screen is correct, as soon as you launch a game, its not?

Thanks Thomas, more info is good.
