It seems like altering things on Amibench (like font sizes e.g.) make the system fail at the (next) start.

I get an error like shown in the attachment.

Hmmm, that looks familiar. I got that error when I changed the fonts an Amibench tried to reset the screen (and couldn't due to open applications).

Last time I cancelled the process and quit Amibench before I got that error. It seemed to work at first. A restart of Amibench went fine and I finally had bigger font sizes. But after a new restart of Amibench I just got that grey screen error which I can't get rid of anymore.  :(

Maybe something else crashed and I did not realise it?
Anyway, problem remains...

I'm sure it will all be fixed but it is frustrating.  Doesn't help that this forum is offline most time I try and I guess AmigaKit are closed at weekends.

As of about an hour ago, my A600GS has stopped booting.

It boots to a black screen with a red cursor and goes no further, no startup music.

Its not offline most of the time. Someone or something is causing the database server to crash. Its being looked into.
Yes, we are closed weekends.

My A600gs is still not booting.  What should/could I do now?  What are my options?

Hello

We probably need to give you an image to reflash the SD card with WinImage or similar.

Please send us an email.   Thanks

Meanwhile I got a backup from a friend and now Amibench starts again. *yeeehaaa*

@THX-1138 I hope yours will be back on track soon too.  :)

It's nice that updates are available frequently. Amibench seems to be "slightly" unstable. I cannot even quit the dock without a crash. Or is that just on my A600GS?

Mine is still working... but probably only because I can't update as the A600GS has lost the user login details again, I can't remember my password and the password reset isn't sending me an email...

it's reading the EDID (badly?) from HDMI matrix... if I connect it directly to my TV it suddenly has all the modes the TV supports... the TV the matrix is connected to... it needs to go thru the matrix for various reasons including splitting the signal so I can record/stream... please roll back this latest 'improvement'

I did rewrite the SD image using the file you sent.  The system then updated fine.

I did try Octamed from the game launcher, again it did fail.
Also I did try the restore to inbuilt defaults, they still do not do anything.
