WTB: The Works Office Suite
« on: December 06, 2015, 11:11:48 PM »
Title pretty well says it all.

Not sure if there is a difference for PAL/NTSC, but if there is, I prefer NTSC seeing as I'm in Amarillo, TX and my system is NTSC.

Thanks,

Curtis

DANGED!!!  Fat fingers strike again!

Title is supposed to be WTB, not STB.  Not even sure what STB would be!

Final Office always suited my needs, what more do we need?

Is Final Office only for Classic?  I really need a good office suite for OS 4.1

No, it works well with PPC.

Sounds interesting.

When/where can I get it?

BTW, forgot to mention this is for an expanded A500 with 9MB RAM and hard drive.  Basic 68000 processor.

@Haranguer

it's easier said than done, unfortunately. the programs haven't been for sale for years. i got my copies of finalwriter, finaldata, and finalcalc via ebay and used a catweasel and floppy drive on my SAM to install everything. once i assigned them all their own screens, it's been smooth sailing ever since on my SAM, peg2, and X5K. they're terrific programs, even if the UI is fairly dated. and as mentioned by QuickSanz, development has even resumed on them.

there's also things like wordworth and amigawriter; turbocalc 5 and staram plan; and MUIbase for word processing, spreadsheets, and database work respectively. they're all terrific on AOS4, too. and then there's amicygnix-based stuff like abiword and gnumeric, but i much prefer the native amiga programs personally. there are ways of getting these things without finding people selling old packages, of course, but, um, well, i'd suggest you ask over at EAB if you're interested in that approach. ;)

if you do manage to locate copies, and need any help, just ask. i (and others) use them all the time on AOS4 and would be happy to assist if you run into any issues. good luck!

Well, located several copies on fleabay, but problem is they're on the other side of the "pond."

Does anyone know if there's a different version for NTSC vice PAL? Or are they the same?
