I haven't had any luck installing an AztecMonster CF into an A2000 with a A2091 SCSI controller. HDTools is not detecting the CF disk. HDSetup reports that it is unable to format the CF disk when SCSI ID 6 is manually selected.
I've tried both 2G and 256M unformatted CF cards and neither were detected. I'm using the AztecMonster's termination and not cable termination.
A2091 settings:
- A2091 ROM version: 6.6
- A2091 chipset version 33C93 revision 4
- A2091 jumper settings:
JP1 (memory size): 2M
JP2 (autoboot): disabled
JP5 (options): LUN enable: off
Time out length: off
AztecMonster CF settings:
- SCSI ID: 6
- Termination: on
- Power LED: lights up when A2000 is started
...the system freezes if the 2091's "autoboot" setting is set to "on". I've left this setting off until Workbench is installed.
I can boot into Workbench using the 3.1 install disks. Is there a DOS command I can use to test/verify the SCSI controller from Workbench?
Also, are there drivers that need to be installed for the A2091 which aren't included on the Workbench disks? This may be the issue. I bought the controller from AmiBay and it did not come with an install disk.
If drivers do need to be installed, is there a premade CF image available which includes the A2091 drivers? Something like BetterWB or even ClassicWB would be great. Assuming there is, how would one write the CF image to the CF card so that it would be bootable? For example, I assume a UAE hardfile would need to be "imaged" to the CF disk somehow. I'm using Linux, FYI.
Thanks in advance.
