I got one inside of Radio Shack box wired to a 9pin Commodore monitor cable, so you can use your existing monitor cables.

If you need help, I can dig out the pinouts and pics for you.

You need:
Qty 1 GBS8200
Qty 1 Project box from Radio Shack http://www.radioshack.com/project-enclosure-6x4x2-/2701806.html#q=Project+boxes&start=8

Qty 1 Male (some 1084S monitors need FEMALE, check your cable for correct gender) DB9 connector (Crimp or solder)
File and cutters.

The GBS comes with a cable that you plug in the P11 plug.
You have 6 wires, but we only need 5 of them, RED, GREEN, BLUE, BLACK, and GRAY.

Solder/Crimp the wires as follows (pinouts are for C= 1084 monitor):
Pin 1 to BLACK
Pin 3 to RED
Pin 4 to GREEN
Pin 5 to BLUE
Pin 7 to GRAY

Cut the box.
I used wire cutter and Dremel tool to cut the holes.
Use my pics for reference (don't judge, looks good on the outside)

For PAL and NTSC I use following settings on GBS (When you get it, you'll kow what it means):
HPOS 56
VPOS 16
HSIZE 48
VSIZE 55
CLAMP ST 97
CLAMP SD 00

As far as the buttons, I did not modified them, once you set it, you should not touch them.

One more pic....

You could also wire directly to DB23 if you have one, or you could salvage one monitor cable and wire directly to the GBS.

My guide would be:

1. open bin
2. place gbs in bin
3. close bin

There is a lot about them on EAB's site, but I agree with Ammo (vide supra)

GBS is OK for what it does, for $30 what can you expect.

According to the above eab thread you should connect the sync signal via a 560 ohm to 1K resistor.

And once you count in all the man-hours it takes to get it working, how much does it cost then?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amiga-Scandoubler-Flickerfixer-LED-A500-600-1200-1000-2000-3000-4000-CDTV-CD32-/261703668857?pt=UK_VintageComputing_RL&hash=item3ceec11479

85 GBP. More expensive and crappier than Indivision. Only possible reason I could see anyone wanting this is if they had like, 10 Amiga's, and didn't want to buy a scandoubler for each of them. Although anyone who can afford 10 Amiga's obviously isn't hurting for money. But, to each their own! ;) :pint:

I'm not sure why some people have problems with their GBS8200 boards.
I got it working in minutes after realizing that it may work on my Amiga. The main reason I got the GBS is for my NEO GEO MVS, so I can use any VGA monitor.
Here is my first post on EAB from 2010: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=56760

I did have problems running in PAL mode which I solved some time later with menu adjustments.

It "works" in that it will display a signal on a VGA monitor... but the RF and compo%&$#?@!%&$#?@!%&$#?@!%&$#?@! work too....

I have two Amigas, a Sega Mega Drive and Super Nintendo, all of which I would like to connect to a modern TV using their RGB output, and I still wouldn't use a GBS for this, and I already own one!
