Just to get back to thread "AmiWest 2014"
So why come to AmiWest? If you're an Amiga user, there are many reasons. I've been thinking about the reasons I go to the show as well as reasons that others have mentioned to me.

10. You can potentially experience the entire range of the AmiVerse at
AmiWest. We say "potentially" because that depends upon who shows up.
An expanding AmiVerse
Since AmiWest began, new "planets" have arrived in the AmiVerse. Planet AmigaOS NG, planet AROS, planet MorphOS, and planet E-UAE have begun orbiting in the AmiVerse.
This is an amazing expansion, fueled by the improvements that others have made in what some are now calling "Amiga-based systems." None of these efforts are, to my knowledge, funded by multi-billion-dollar companies. All are the efforts of volunteers whose passions for a better computer system often exceed their resources.
Come and help expand the AmiVerse!
Come and see what others are bringing. Bring something yourself: a favorite configuration, an insight into OS operation, new and / or improved software to show, photos of your setup, - everything AmiVerse related. Bring your AROS or MorphOS or E-UAE setup for the community area so others can see what's happening there. What people bring is what enriches our show.
So come to AmiWest. The Programming Seminar starts on Thursday, October 23 and runs throughout the show. The show itself begins with the Classic Clinic at 5 PM on Friday with free food and Amiga technicians ready to help you upgrade your machine with the parts you bring with you.
