Tried to rename?

Doesn't work. The file is scrambled and not recognized by the AGA MK2 config tool program.

The good thing about this config is that if you run your WB in PAL 640x512 you minimize screen switching (eg it doesn't just go black for half an hour when running a demo).

Both PAL and PAL Interlaced are set to use a 640x512 screen mode (which is exactly half of my monitor's native resolution of 1280x1024 for a perfect 1:2 scale).

Did this tool ever come out of beta?

That's a hard question to answer :)

Personally I'd say that it's no longer BETA.    The Config Tool could be more user-friendly but it does work (which is the main thing!).

The bigger deal for me is the lack of 'extra' features that this card was meant to deliver (eg. chunky modes, a 50hz mode and a v-sync option).    Another missing feature is native support for the awesome 800x600 SuperPlus mode.     It doesn't look like these missing 'extras' will be added to the Config Tool :(

I love how often people want to take our money but never deliver on all their promises.

Take my Efika for instance...

This file also saves as "attachment.php", but after renaming it to attachment.zip
it could be extracted. All OK now, but have to test the file with the config tool tonight.

Try plugging in to your composite or RF out to get a visible screen, to allow you to reset the tool.
