Did you clean the sockets and chips with IPA?  Just re-seating might not be enough.

Also if your A1200 edge connector is worn/dirty it can cause issues as can the pass-through if that is heavily worn.

Another important thing is a good serviceable A1200, preferably with caps replaced and decent PSU (good steady 5v)

I appreciate the help so far :-)

It's a 300W ATX CPU and the 5V seems fine, the apollo 060 runs rock solid at 80MHz.

The A1200 has had timing fixes and caps replaced by Amigakit, had to do this for the ACA1231 to work.

I've checked the pass through connector it appears to be okay, can't see anything weird going on and the contacts on the A1200 look good, gave it a quick clean.

Not sure about cleaning the pass through connector though.

I've tried it with just the Voodoo card on it's own in various slots. I haven't even attempted to get the sound working. It does detect the SB128 and it shows in AHI but no sound.

No hiss/click on boot either, will have another look at the pass through :-/

One thing I have noticed with the MACH chips is that if I push them entirely into their sockets (they make a click noise) the Amiga wont boot.

I have to raise them flat with the top of the sockets for the Amiga to boot, don't know if that means anything?

Order replacement MACH chips perhaps? They are included with the Multimedia CD. But maybe wait for Elbox to reply first?

Elbox usually pretty good with registrating second hand hardware

Haven't heard anything and I've had it a couple of weeks now. So not sure what's happening there.

Going to give it a look over on the weekend.

Looks like a brand new Mediator now but still no luck. I was reading somewhere it could be because I'm also using a Subway? (A political stand off or something?)

Is this the case?

Have run out of time tonight but will try removing the Subway and see how that goes, but that seems weird when I've seen people using a Mediator with a Subway.

Stay tuned.

I had a Subway working together with Mediator TX and they co-existed nicely.

My Amiga curse. Would be nice if somethings would just work.

Have left it alone today, shouldn't be this hard?

Feel bad asking to return it.

On the edge of my seat as to wether I should purchase a SX/TX through Amigakit as the cost is a bit more.

But I do have a Radeon 9200 sitting here that I would like to use, and no clear yes/no if it would work with the LT4.

Also with the SX/TX I hear you can connect a standard ATX power switch straight to it? If so this will also be a plus :-)

Ended up buying a brand new one from Amigakit. Worked straight out of the box :-)

Going by the seller when I posted it back it appears to have some solder lifting going on. Especially around the connector.

Anyway the mediator certainly changes the Amiga into an almost everyday machine. Just need a better browser and a Office suite. Open office? :-)

I downloaded the latest Voyager web browser and it works rather well for what I have (030 25Mhz. on native AGA chip set).

Not much help on the Office Suite though.  Sorry. :(

How does Voyager compare to Voyager? Might take a look :-) Would be nice for more up to date HTML support.

Not fussed about flash etc :-)

I wonder if it's possible to build Open office source on an Amiga?
