EasyNet problem?
« on: October 15, 2011, 12:20:14 PM »
Hi all ive just installed easynet onto my amiga 1200 so that i can add it to my network using a PCMCIA wireless card, the installation went fine but as soon as i start up easynet and click go online i get a popup syaing "AmiTCP/IP version 3 or later must be started first" .I was under the impression that as soon as you installed and configured easynet you could go online it says during the installation that it installed AmiTCP/IP 3 onto my miggy am i doing something wrong?

Open a support ticket at AmigaKit.

Opened 3 of those trying to get the back plate for my SAM 440ep, as well as sending emails.  Still don't have it 2 years later.

I hate to slag off normally reputable Amiga vendors, but the service after the sale was over on my SAM was absolutely unacceptable with this company..

@CarvedEye

Did you have a previous TCP/IP stack installed such as Genesis?  If so you may well have assigns setup for that which are conflicting.

@Duce
This is off topic:  sending an email to sales for an after-sales subject is not the correct department - you will get an auto-response email indicating this (it is also explained on the Contact Us page).  If you require a backplate, you need to checkout with the backplate product and put in the order comments your original order number of the SAM hardware.

This is the product advertised on our webstore with the instructions:
http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=957

There is no need to open support tickets or contact us, simply checkout with the item above on your next order.

No I have done fresh install of aos 3.9 so there is no other stack present other than the one installed with easynet?

What EasyNet assigns are in your s:user-startup ?

It could well be that the assigns do not correlate to where you have actually installed EasyNet.

Sorry, you did not answer my question.

I need to know exactly where you have installed EasyNet: location on your hard disk and text of your s:user-startup file

Also please goto the Help menu and select "Configuration Help.." option and post the output generated.

This diagnoses problems.

You did not fill in the Network Domain Name section of Network Settings- that is why there is still an alert icon next to this field.
