Berzerk, now that brings back memories :) I used to play a great version on my old tandy trs80 coco1 when I was a younger fella.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone, although little actual work has been done Ive been having a nostalgic blast doing "researching" (playing) many of these games :)
I actually thought Montezuma's Revenge was a Monty Mole game though, which is what led me to Monty On The Run in the 1st place  :)

Not something I plan on converting (yet), but does anyone remember the c64 game "Master Of Magic"? Loved it back in the day and rediscovered it while looking into some of these games. Interesting and somewhat original RPG style game with a cool Rob Hubbard tune..... so many classic games, so little time :)
Near as I can tell this is where I write something under the guise of being innocuous, but really its a pot shot at another persons/peoples choice of Amiga based systems. Unfortunately only I cant see how transparent and petty it makes me look.

I've got to add to this list;

Some already mentioned Bruce Lee, which I abosolutely loved as a kid.  Never could beat it the second time through.

Racing Destruction Set!  There was a retro remake someone was working on at one point, but then he just said he was going to stop it and wasn't going to open source it 'cause he MAY pick it up again...

Jumpan and Jumpman Jr.  Awesome games, though somehow the game let my brother cheat...

An updated version of Lucifer's Realm would be killer (though I think you'd want this to be AGA, since it's just a graphical text adventure.  If you want to try this game out on the Atari 8-bit, make sure you're emulating an old 800, or the 800XL using translator (it works but some of the pictures are black without this).

Those are the simpler ones.

If anyone wanted to take some stuff and port or reverse engineer, recreate whatever you call it, I think it'd be fantastic if someone did this to Phatansie 2 (1 and 3 came out for the Amiga, but 2 never did, though it came out for the Atari ST), and Ultima 1 and 2 never came out for the Amiga either (2 came out for the ST, 1 didn't come out for either.)  That would give us Ultimas 1-6, and I believe even 7 works with RTG and Exult.

There was a shooter I used to love called The Tail of Beta Lyrae.  Awesome game.

Something along the lines of a Tempest or Defender 2000 like what was on the Jag.  Basically an old vector game, transformed to have lots of pretty colors.  Major Havoc would be awesome!  That only ever came out as an arcade, but I loved the concept (You're in a space ship, you land on bases, hop out of your space ship, find the reactor, blow it up, go back to space ship, go to next stage.)  Reminds me of a 2 dimensional Captive.

Anyhow, that should get the blood boiling!

P.S.  I seriously need to learn how to code.  Going to start off with Python, and probably move on to doing some C/C++ for the Amiga.

I know the thread is kinda moot at this point, however, this C=64 title gets my vote.

A few off the top of my head.

Quazatron for the Spectrum was a neat game.
A massively enhanced version of Scuba Dive (again Spectrum).
Castles Of Doctor Creep! C64
The original Spindizzy (Amstrad CPC).
Necromancer (Atari 8-bit).

I'll second Spinndizzy. I spent many hours with the C-64 version. That should work great on the Amiga.

Kings Valley 2 (puzzle platformer) for the MSX 2.

Google images

Doubt it's needed, because it runs fine on AmiMsx. 68030+AGA is perfect (has to be slowed down, in fact), and you get the enhanced sound from the on-cartridge soundchip that the original game has. Could be interesting to enhance it based on the original graphics/music.

I forget

International Karate or Wolrd Karate Championship

Those are already available for Amiga.  At least IK+ is.

Something like The Way of the Exploding Fist would be cool.

Lots of good suggestions here, but maybe I shouldve made a poll. There's quite a few that would be fun to remake, but Im only one person. A poll would show me what might be popular. As much as Im doing this for my own fun its more enjoyable if at least a few others are also interested. A poll would show what might have a little popularity. So far there's 3 or 4 titles that Id include in such a poll, and 1 or 2 other potentials.

Feel free to keep 'em coming and I'll make a poll once Ive got a few more to chose from.
