Oh man. I've got to pull out my amiga and pop one of those in it. I remeber paying $100 bucks for a used 1gig scsi hard drive. Today I bought a 32gb usb thumb drive for 40 bucks. It's insane. The bad part is the 1gig drive was a steal it was almost 1000 dollars new.
Just so you guys know,i sell those card readers.. the transcend 2gb cf's work fine. i just don't have any spare 4GB or cheap sources for them.
If you don't have a battery in the 4000,you can't address the LUNS which are needed for the other slots to operate beside the pcmcia port. If a battery is not a option, order one with the pcmcia to CF adapter(and or a cf card if 2Gb is good),this way you don't need luns and can address it as a normal device.
If you do have a battery installed, grab SCSI-Prefs.lha from aminet and set the 3000 to use LUNS.
i recommend you set the card reader to device 0
they have termination jumpers so you dont have to worry there.
