Darned kids these days, don't know anything about repairing older technology. Good luck with that, hope you find some old fella who hasn't retired yet! 
I assume you don't mean me when you say
"darn kids" and
"don't know anything about repairing older technology"since neither is the case for me.
I have mostly no problem in repairing older technology at all so I don't really need a "old fella" for that and when the Tube dies the tube dies nothing they or anyone can do about it but source a replacement tube.
The circuitry is not the problem, that I can repair and rebuild myself if needed, the problem is the Tubes, less and less fitting vector tubes (or monochrome tubes) to get hold off these days and some day I have to build and code a raster scan converter to use a modern display.
I guess that will be a fun project to add to my to do list in the future
