Hi,
I've been using my A1200 for a couple of days after a long period stored in a drawer. It was working fine yesterday but today it is refusing to boot up.
At first the "insert floppy" screen came up. I had seen this screen from time to time before, and normally it disappeared if I switched off the computer and pressed slightly the FastATA controller which I did this time.
Now, the A1200 doesn't search for floppy during the boot process and the HDD and Power leds stay ON. The A1200 does nothing, no video signal at all.
Seems like the motherboard can be dead... is it?
I've tried to boot with both mouse buttons pressed in order to get to early boot options screen, but the problem seems to be more important because the computer boot sequence is not reaching this point. No floppy is being searched for during boot process, either.
I've tried to boot without the accelerator board fitted in and the problem persists, so the accelerator is not a problem.
Also I'm using an ATX power supply with Ian Stedman adaptor and, as my external Atapi ZIP and DVD are powered and perfectly able to eject its floppies and trays, the problem seems not to be related to the PSU either.
I've also disconnected the hard drive from the FastATA controller to force the "insert disk screen" but it doesn't show up.
Keyboard seems to work properly, at least the computer tries to boot up each time I press the key combination Control + LAmiga + RAmiga.
My mobo is a rev 2B.
All kind of ideas and suggestions are welcome!
