it makes absolutly no sense to block some users among our fellow amigans. Why not just ignore the whole forum and remain alone with no one bothering you? No one is forcing you to connect here to read messages.
I think I should clarify that I very much enjoy using the forum and I have no personal issues with (in terms of disliking) any members here.
Personally, I agree that resorting to an ignore list is childish.
You can't ignore certain posters without electronic censoring?
Do you feel compelled to answer posts that offend you?
I personally don't feel compelled to answer such posts, but unfortunately there are a few members here who do and so what we end up with is interesting threads being skewed off onto a tangent of ridiculous arguments and bickering. I am not the subject of these exchanges so I am not personally offended by them, I would just prefer not to be trawling through them when I'm reading the threads.
There are a couple of members here (only a couple) whose contribution to the forum seems only to be silly bickering, arguing, or otherwise skewing thread topics off on a tangent. I'm not trying to censor that (as you put it), I'm happy for everyone else to read it and respond to it if they want to, but it's my personal preference that I'd rather not.
That's all this is really. It's got nothing to do with being childish, and everything to do with my personal preference. Of course, you are entitled to disagree if that's
your personal preference, but that's why the user preferences are individual - we each favour different methods of interacting with the forum.
AH.
