We have Deneb USB in stock and available now:

Hope this helps!

Wow.  You really need to put an expected date on your page when you are out of stock.  I've been watching it like a hawk these past few days and I ended up ordering from Versalia earlier today because you were still listed as out of stock.  I guess I could still cancel that since I have not paid it yet - need other things I was gonna order from you anyhow so I'll save a bit if I go that route.

Ok AmigaKit, don't let me down.  I just shifted the order for the DENEB to you.  I'm still getting something from Vesalia so it's really a win-win situation for us all.

I found a number of hubs available cheaply and readily do not work with the Deneb.  In the end, I finally located a slot-mounted four-port hub which works beautifully.  When I get back home I'm planning to put up some documentation of my experiences.

Also, there are plenty of multi-card readers which don't work properly, and again I hunted down one that does, again beautifully.

I found this to be true as well, mainly the cheaper ones. I finally bought a nice Lexar UDMA reader that works very well... transfer rate is a little slower than I hoped and CPU use is somewhat high for DMA, but I fear this may just be the nature of USB over Zorro. Sure as hell beats the internal IDE, anyway.

Wow!  AmigaKit has fast delivery over the ocean!

I just received my DENEB (ordered Friday) and a few other things from them, plus I'm starting to receive other stuff for my venture from other sources such as my USB DVD-RW and SCSI 80/50 adapters.

Soon I'll have my hands back into the thick of things...

Well, I just installed the WD8 Chip and 16MB Fast RAM... gonna wait to install the DENEB though as I need to replace the HD an want to do a clean 3.1 install first.  Waiting on the SCSI 80-50 adapter - we'll see if it gets here tomorrow...

Ok got the card installed, had to install Installer and move it to ZII mode and then install MUI for trident; it apparently recognizes my Network dongle and the DVD-RW however I'm unsure how to actually use them!  Any hints for a noob?

EDIT: got the DVD-RW working!  Looked in the Trident message log and found device and unit to use woo hoo!

Here's a post I made here when I first got my Deneb working with my Ethernet dongle.  Hopefully it will be of some use to you:

*******************

Here's a little something to share with everybody, I've got my A4000D surfing the net using the Deneb USB card, OS3.9 and an off-the-shelf PC USB Ethernet device.

Here's the USB Ethernet device I bought for $19.99:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=443248&CatId=589

I plugged it into the Deneb which immediately detected it and mounted it as USBASIXETH.DEVICE unit 0.

Save your USB settings.

Now configure Genesis using the wizard"
Select "Network" for how you plan to connect.
For device enter "usbasixeth.device" and set unit as "0"
Under SANA II configuration select "no"
Don't worry about it not detecting your network address, just manually enter your own (my home network assigns 192.168.0.xxx so I used 192.168.0.110).
Enter your subnet mask (probably 255.255.255.0) and your router address (in my case 192.168.0.1)
Enter your Domain Name Server (DNS) - 192.168.0.1 in my case
Enter your Domain Name ("cablerocket.net" in my case).

Reboot your Amiga and check your Trident prefs and you should see your ethernet adapter up and running. Check Genesis and put the USBASIXETH0 device online if it isn't already. Open your web browser and start surfing!

I hope this helps. :-)

Thanks - finally got the dongle working!  I'm using EasyNet from AmigaKit and for some reason it kept balking on the device.  I had to manually go in and set it to usbpegasus.device in the easynet.cfg file and it started working.

I cna ping to it and form it, but I cannot seem to get Amiga Explorer running properly.  It starts up in TCP/IP mode, I set the packet size to 32768 on both ends, made sure the password was correct, and even opened up port 356 in amiTCP (it logs that it accepted the connection) but I get "unable to access TCPIP port" on the PC side.

I'd say this was a pain but I'm having fun.

Don't forget to go to the E3B site and flash the firmware to v11 (If it isn't already).

I'll definately check that in the AM.

Question... is the starting graphic for the DENEB supposed to look like it was chizled/rotting away from the screen?  It almost looks like something is wrong with my display but then again, it could be done like that on purpose.

LOL.  From what I remember, yes.  You can disable it IIRC by reflashing the ROM without the startup screen module.

Where would I find the firmware version?  I looked in the utils but perhaps I missed it?

Without having access to my Deneb, I can't honestly remember.  Flash it anyway.  You'll either be told that the v11 firmware is already installed or it will just replace it regardless.  As the lastest firmware only came out in February I'm betting you don't have anything newer than v9.
