I suppose I just don't understand hyping a product for a year and THEN figuring out how to make them, or how the parts will be manufactured.

Seems like the chicken before the egg dosn't it?

Wait we're taking pre-orders and we don't even have the parts here yet?
This happend with ps3 also well said it did the usa got first shipment was meant to be world wide release nothing new in this make prototypes then u think u get enough parts
for first run you got buy in bulk to save costs but chould be some parts they run out of
id say got fund getting more inventry based on fisrt lot sales am not sure these big chains pay in advance might have deal so they can test waters how good sales go, but thats biz deal between barry and the companys none are affair

You know what's really fun?  Reading all C-USA threads while listening to the Benny Hill theme song.  Try it!

Ah, but they won't need to head offshore to escape the angry mob, they just need to head to the lawyer and disolve the company.

"Commodore USA" is actually "Commodore USA LLC" and it is the "LLC" part which is very important because it stands for "Limited Liability Company".  What it means is that if the company does something "wrong", then you can only sue the company and the company assets for compensation, and not the actual company owner and his personal assets.  So, if the company becomes bankrupt or has no assets then you're SOL.

How do I know this?  Because my company is a LLC too.  :D

In Australia it's a little different. A company that is Limited means a limited number of shareholders that company can have. But i think you are talking about Incorporation which means a company becoming its own legal entity therefore removing any liability from its owners. This is effective that it protects its owners from liability but it works only to a certain point, it must be lawful. Remember Barry is a director of a company so if he makes a profit and the coy goes into liquidation he might still be liable. Maybe you could get him on fraud or oppressive behaviour as a director? Whatever, but you could maybe get him on criminal charges and not just civil. My point is that if you can show he is dishonest then the LLC means nothing. If this happens in Australia, and he is liable, then they simply brush aside any limited liability. Not sure how it works in America though. Please tell... :)

P.S. what coy do you own, i wanta looky :)

"Shortages of BT Resin as a consequence of the disaster in Japan have been a top concern for the entire chip industry"

ok. If "the entire chip industry" comments all apply to PPC/Cell, I'll accept your post as fact.

Hi,

The new Commodore C64, with the new glow in the dark case, at no extra cost to you.

Open it up look inside where you can see the motherboard and chips without the lights on, Only the C64.

I just own a very small company that provides services to the Petroleum Industry.  Nothing special, but the LLC bit should protect me if I happen to wipe out all life in the Gulf of Mexico.  ;)
A2000, A3000, 2 x A1200T, A1200, A4000Tower & Mediator, CD32, VIC-20, C64, C128, C128D, PET 8032, Minimig & ARM, C-One, FPGA Arcade... and AmigaOne X1000.

I'm pretty sure it means a limited number of shares.  Which is pretty simular, but different.

I remember when Sinclair brought out the ZX Spectrum and QL they took postal orders and got themselves in a little bit of bother with delays.

I tend to agree  with Franko's summary though: Wibble! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK6TXMsvgQg

But Sony had already delivered a total of 200 million PS1 & PS2 products and their past followers needed to be kept up to date about Sony's alternative to Xbox 360 to stop people jumping ship.

Bit of a difference here.

Firstly I like to congratulate everyone on the fact that C=USA related threads and discussion have gone down to sensible numbers and not taken over the web forum, I have no problem with seeing the odd thread to discuss this company and its plans I just dont want to see a repeat of every other thread discussing them.

Secondly I recently got Tron Legacy and Tron Classic on Blu-Ray here in the UK, no CUSA advert inside, so I'm guessing it just a USA thing.

Thirdly I find it all rather funny C=USA, I remember a lot of their supporters criticising A-eon / Hyperion for Pre-orders/Beta funds and pro-claim their company has never ask for a dime, well now they are, plus another delay a bit like another project, so less reason for them criticising us, and the fact they made a big deal about watching Amiga Inc web site for the announcement of their deal/partnership, and now I go on their web site they seem to be selling/promoting Icontain products more than C=USA's after all that talk of “we are Amiga inc now” its all great pop corn material and I'm just enjoying the ride while I wait for progress in areas of the Amiga world that really interest me.

Whats with all the US and THEM references?
It's like a Commodore/Amiga fan civil war. Can't people just accept that everyone against C=USA loves Commodore 64's and Amigas and everyone with C=USE loves Commodore 64s and Amigas but they want to show it in a different way.

It doesn't hurt anyone here if somebody wants their PC to look like a classic computer does it?

Tell me you're kidding... I mean you are kidding, right... you've got to be kidding about not liking the word kidding !!!

Only kidding... :)

Best not visit the UK without ear plugs any time, cos you'll here that word every where you go (even in the houses of parliament where MPs accuse each other of kidding on to the public) and I ain't kidding... :)

The only other alternative for it is "joking" but for some reason most folk here prefer to say kidding, like when you meet someone you haven't met for a while and they ask you how the wife is and you say "oh she died a few months ago", then when you get the stoney silence and humble apologies you then say "only kidding, the old bags over there getting her hair done again"... :)

Crops up all the time the kidding word and it's not that bad really, could be worse could be replaced with "you're avin a larf" gets right on me tits that one does... :madashell:

Oh yeah... Only kidding... ;)

Franko I'm sure I have seen Kidding used in US films and TV shows. I can hear someone like Bruce Willis saying "U Godda be kiddin' me" in my head

I think the main problem is the mis-spelling of You're which changes kidding from a verb to a noun
