Runie, you do realize that you in fact, just started the kind of thread you abhor. Thanks for the spam!

Just 'ignore' the spuds, ninnies and twits and they'll go away before too long. Way too much wasted mental bandwidth as it is on drivel and nonsense. Stop feeding the trolls!

I've often wanted to use that term but I didn't think folk would know what it meant on your side of the pond, you'er the first one I've heard use it, glad to know you've got ninnies over there too... :)

Lost In Space's Dr. Smith used it all the time. So does DEVO in 'Through Being Cool'. Two  American pop culture refs for 'ya! Pretty sure I've heard one of the Dr. Who's use it before as well.   :)

AND it not that adversarial (although MorphOS is better).

Was that comment really necessary?

haha, yes. I am part of the problem now :)

Im not looking to censor anything. Like i posted above, I dont mind the CUSA stuff being there. I just get tired of the perpetual bickering in those threads.

CUSA has become the new Red vs. Blue.  The bickering will die down eventually, except for the few die hard trolls that just can't let go of their particular view of what a 'true' Amiga is.

One difference between this and the Red v Blue is that in the latter, both camps held reasonable claims to the heritage. Both were capable of running on suitably equipped classic Amigas and whilst OS4 became the "official" successor to 3.x in the end, MorphOS could easily have have been the one to do so.

On the other hand, the CUSA stuff is a total disconnect. Other than branding, there's absolutely nothing (at least nothing that has been publicly shown) to connect it to the Amiga or earlier Commodore machines.

OH! Now I get it. Sorry. My bad.
Yeah the news items are useful. The "I'd buy anything with a Commodore label" and the "I'd never buy anything from Barry Altman even if you skinned me alive" posts do get a litle tiresome.

And the drama! Oh, the little melodramatic posts and personal attacks. I could do without those.

More pancakes and socks. No problem.

Not at all (and there are some features of AOS4 that I wish MOS had).
I was just amusing myself.

Simple just enjoy what ever system you like and not worry about the name/brand, thats what I'm doing, I pretty much treat Icontain and C=USA as a nice topic/disration to discust and debate over while we wait for what I consider real Amigas progress, this includes both OS4 and Aros progress,  but thats just me.

"spuds, ninnies and twits"

Which phrase, ninnie or twit?
Ninnie is perfectly good English in all English speaking countries.
And twit, while I tend to associate that word with Monty Python, is also perfectly acceptable.
I'm not sure what a spud is.

But that != no desire to do so.
I have to go back to the example of Jay at Atari and continually ask myself if it's more relevant to follow people vs following the technology itself.
Perhaps it's too clearcut to look at it that way, but still...

I dunno, this place goes through phases of upset- R vs B was the last big one I remember. Old guard leave, new blood come in. I'm just here to talk about Amiga, try to let it pass over my head. But I certainly enjoy talking and listening to some new arrivals (well, newish) and am glad I stayed.
