Tonight I pulled my 4000 desktop apart to consider some audio cable routing. Installed I have a Cyberstorm MK-III, a Picasso IV, X-Surf 3cc, and a Deneb.
In my other threat I discussed some DMA issues I was having which I resolved by installing the Busterv9ROMTag, and concluding that I must have a v9 Buster. But tonight when I opened it up i found a 390429-11 Super Buster.
I have a Super Buster v11, but the Deneb will not operate in DMA mode without the Busterv9ROMTag??
This seems somewhat bizarre to me. But it works, so I'm not gonna bitch. I just think it's a little odd.
Thanks for this info.
I've been running my Deneb in ZII mode since installing a Mediator busboard because all other modes hang Poseidon. I had assumed it was a Buster issue and that I needed to get hold of a Buster 11. Last week, after many months of dithering, I finally took a screwdriver and removed the Mediator so that I could examine my Buster chip... and found out that is was a Buster 11!
I've never tried the Buster9ROMTag before, but if that allows me to use my Deneb in Z3 mode then I'll be a hell of a happy camper.

For the record, my setup is an A4000D, Warp Engine 68040, Mediator, Deneb, FastATA4000, Soundblaster 128, Radion 256MB graphics card, Indivision4000.
