No chance... the MAC wouldn't recognise the.VOB files and after much mucking about I ended up having to copy the DVD onto my Hyundia multi media recorder, convert it to am .mpg file copy this to an SD card, transfer the .mpg file to the MAC convert the .mpg file to a .mov file and upload to you tube.

Hmmmm..... If I grab a video from YouTube using RealPlayer, it comes in as a .flv file. So, do you upload a .mov file to YouTube and YouTube converts it to .flv as it uploads? Or does RealPlayer convert the  .mov to .flv as I download it?

How do I record the output of a Cybervision 64/3D GFX card into the AV1 (scart input) of my Sony RDR-HXD860 DVD Recorder?

You Tube takes your uploads and if it's in a format it can recognize, it will convert it to FLV when the upload is complete.

Thanks for the videos Franko. Very interesting to see your set up. I thought it was a nice trick you got booting into early startup to select the partition you want to boot. I've never thought of doing that )

@ A4000_Mad

Never seen the Cybervision GFX card, but as long as it can output an RGB signal in standard PAL or NTSC modes, then just make a new cable up from the GFX card to SCART and you should be able to record onto your DVD recorder. You might need to connect pin 22 (+12V) on the Amiga side to pins 8 (and16) of the SCART plug for the DVD to recognise it as an RGB signal & not composite... :)

Amiga To Scart PinOuts

@ golem

Never actually thought about it till you mentioned it,  I thought that everyone did it that way... :)

No time, I stole an hour to have a play... Broken now, packed away in the cupboard... Possibly won't look at them for a very long time now... Emulation and AROS are far more convenient and reliable. :(

The output connection of the Cybervision 64/3D is the same 15pin ouput connection of any graphics card for a PC. (the A4000 is actually using a monitor meant for a PC and not an Amiga monitor). Any thoughts on recording that output which will be in screenmode 640x480 16bit??

You can take the RGB signal from the 15pin output but if your using a PC mode ie: VGA or multisync for example the DVD recorder won't be able to cope with it... :)

Without buying some sort of convertor box your DVD recorder will only be able to handle standard PAL (15.625Khz) or NTSC screenmodes... :(

Looks like plan B then:-

1. Aim camcorder at screen and press record.

2. Play captured footage into a PC using the firewire connection.

3. Gawd knows!!
