ELBOX would know as one of their products fit into the Blizzard ppc slot. i could find out some of the signals are, but im too busy at the moment as im working on something else.

a new graphics card could be made to fit the Blizzard PPC card.

*correction* i already know what some of the pins do.

here's something some of you did not know, theres 12v & -12v located on the card but is not used.

I've heard the BlizzardPPC connector being spoken about as a 'Mini PCI' connector for whatever that's worth...

It is not a "standarized" mini PCI... but it is a pci bus. probably a proprietary for phase 5.

PCI standard
Amiga 1200 Tower Os 3.9
BPPC 603e+ 040-25/200, 256MBram, BVIsionPPC, Indivision AGA MK2.
Amiga 2000 (rev 4.0) Os 1.2/1.3
2088 bridgeboard, 2MB ram card, 2091 SCSI.
Amiga 500+ Os 2.1
Derringer 030, 32MBram, Buddha in sidecar, Indivision ECS.
Amiga CD32
Video decoder

Dude, seriously? Help the guy out or don't help the guy out but teasing people with information like this is just a really sad thing to do.

DCE (http://www.dcecom.de) re-released the G-Rex 1200 PCI busboard before they left the Amiga market, which uses that dreaded connector. They probably have that information, but they have shown in the past they are not really interested in helping out anyone regarding their past Amiga products.

Good luck!

I guess you should get some clues from the support chips on the BPPC and the BVision... I don't recall any PCI host chips on the BPPC or the BVision (could be implemented in CPLD or FPGAs maybe?)... But I am pretty sure the Permidia2 was designed to interface to a PCI? No? The BPPC connector could well be just the PPC CPU signals brought out to a header...

The adapter board for the GRexx has a great big CPLD on it. If you look up the part number, you'll see it's a PCI compliant part. My guess is that it probably implements whatever is missing on the Blizzard itself.

If I had to guess, I'd say you were thinking of the GRexx, which is phase5/DCE.

Well that suggests the BPPC port is little more than a header on the BPPC's bus... If it were a PCI port the G-Rex would require little logic to bring that out to standard PCI slots :)

I remember asking Ralf Schmit about the port some 13 years ago, and recall him saying it was standard PCI... But I don't know how much he know about the hardware... He could have been referring the whole interface with the BVision...
