Well... my last email to him was a good 2 weeks ago and I told him (paraphrase): Look, obviously something is going on with you personally. You've always been a real ebay pro in the past. Just let me know what is going on with my auction and send it out when you can.

Anyhow after several emails..and maybe because I had yet to post negative feedback (simply forgot  :-) ) He decided to make good on the deal. But yet still no email or note in box explaining why. I'm assuming he is playing catch-up and is firing out stuff to customers. I gotta tell ya guys..just like red said, he is very professional and easy to talk to usually..very strange.

well, he is obviously having some problems, so the motto is, buy REALLY small cheap unimportant brick solid items, so that he can't bugger you up that badly, and then i guess you'd also be helping him out by getting his feedback up...

My name is not Robert Wters, but I did sell a bunch of my Amiga inventory this year, but one sale is still bugging me.

Someone bought my VLab board and paid immediately.  I've been trying to reach him via email to no avail so I can deliver it to him.

So I know I'm setting myself up here, but if you know of someone or are that person and can prove it, I still have your card since June.

Just send me proof to ebay@never2funky.com and I'll get it to you.  Let me know the price and the ebay item number and I'll get it out.

The address I sent it to sent it back.

I've not sold another item since then because this was hanging over my head.

He didn't die, I've dealt with him recently.. I can only speculate why he's been a poor eBayer lately.. He got me on 7 auctions for memory I was selling.. He begged for me to withdrawl my refund for a final value fee or else eBay was going to yank his account and he offered to at least pay the final value fee. I agreed and he actually paid it(only the final value fee). It looks like that didn't help much because he ended up getting a landslide of other negative feedback and is no longer a registered user. I can only speculate he is having major personal problems. His emails to me were polite and sincere enough... I dunno...

Did anyone talk to him on the phone and try to find out what his personal problems were?

Anyone who has done a lot of trades on ebay has been stung at least once. Mine was a 1084 that never got shipped by someone in Washington state going by otter.

As far as Robert Waters goes:
I have bought a ton of stuff from him. That was before my weekly AAA (Amiga Aholics Annon) meetings. My addiction is under control atm. He always shipped in a timely manner and delivered what was pictured. Giving him a call if you are owed some murchandise may be a good idea. Red, if he paid your fees but did purchase, I think you were a bit harsh.  BTW would you have 4 32meg simms that will work in a CSMKIII?

I don't undersatnd why Ebay haven't acted to ban this user, I mean the negatives are the worst I've ever seen. This guy wants sorting out in more ways than one.

I bought a DPS Personal Animation Recorder (PAR)
from r_waters once.  He sent me a good working
PAR board all as described, but it did take a
long time to arrive.

On another note watch out for PayPal now too! I will no longer use them after I was ripped off by a buyer.

I sold a T68i GSM phone to a guy in Estonia last week. Before the auction closed he wrote me about 4 times making sure I would ship to him and accept paypal. I said I would if he paid the shipping. He paid me wirh PayPal and as soon as he got the tracking number I got a email from PayPal telling me the payment was fraud. Well I said okay I am protected and should get my money for the phone still.. WRONG!! Estonia is not a PayPal prefered country and they took the money from m. I have since called them and argued the matter showing them the tracking number, they guys address and th fact he got the product. The sad thing is, the same persons name that the card belonged to email me BEFORE the auction. I looked on ebay and this same person scammed others in the same few days he did it to me. Inddistwill is the usename.

I bought a load of Amiga bits on ebay a few weeks back, and when over to they guy's house to collect the bits. Him and his wife invited me in, and I ended up staying there for about an hour, drinking tea and chatting, and while I was there I ended up answering his PC questions - he wanted to know how to attach emails (he needed to forward some he had received to PayPal).

Reason being - someone had bought some phones from him on ebay, paid by PayPal, and luckily for him, his family was out on the Saturday, and so he wasn't able to send the item till the following Monday. Turns out Paypal contacted him on the Sunday telling him that the transaction was fraudulent. Turns out that the addressee was in Estonia, but the original bidder was in America. Anyway, beware scammers, definitely, when selling items worth a lot of money!!!

I like Amigas

I bought an A2000 case from him a while back and had no problems. I think I bought a 1084 and some Newtek disks too. Thats a shame he's flaking out. Like redrumloa said, he used to sell some decent stuff.

Harsh? How so? My negative feedback on him? Nononono you are missing the timeline here. He stopped responding to emails and didn't pay after a almost a month. I gave gime 2 final warning emails and the official eBay reminder, no response so I gave negative feedback. Still no response. He didn't respond until almost 10 days later when I was about to claim my eBay final value fee refund. He realised it would be his 3rd strike and eBay would yank his account. This was waaaaaaay after I had given up on him. eBay yanked the account anyhow but it wasn't from me.

Guess I did miss the time line. I have done over a dozen transactions with him with no problems. They were quite awhile ago however and I am glad I have not dealt with him recently.

Yes I do want 4 32meg simms that will work in a CSMKIII.
