@ The Goose: Yes, West World!!!!
I just watched that again a couple months ago, then watched Future World again last week.
Sadly, they are going to remake West World and destroy it like nearly everything else they've remade, but the classics were amazing and I can't help but coming back to them (even if TV and Movies do dumb me down.)

In regards to the effects, I LOVE old effects. I much prefer them to today's video game graphics, especially in Horror movies. Squib effects I can live with, but everything else should be built with care and time through imagination and a steady hand.
Besides it seems that modern films are loosing much because of effects. Too much eye candy and not enough raw acting and character development. The art of story telling is dying, and sadly this trend is finding it's way into books as ironic as that may sound.
Though on the other hand, it is always nice to see some Amiga generated effects from time to time. They have their place.
