This guy bought one of the 4000ts apparently. And yeah, they are new. Question is... why the insane prices? And why haven't they been written off to make more room by now? Can I win the lottery and build a pimped out A4KT?

A4000T is the pinnacle of classic Amiga computing, no reason to give (or throw) away brand new ones!

You mean there's an actual brick and mortar shop? How does it make money? I'm confused here.

It's a side/hobby business now, but I don't know what their main line of work is.

Oh man... I think now, in this day and age - if I were to walk/drive by an Amiga dealer still in business I'd, well... changing drawers and credit cards come to mind... lol

Seriously, I didn't know he had a storefront! Side hobby or business aside. He's still paying rent, mortgage, taxes, licenses and God knows what else  ;)

Tone... do you ever go in there or is it by appointment only? Do you know Joe? I talked to him a few years ago about the lady that used to answer the phones for his company, back when I was a customer in the late 80's/early 90's. She was always very kind and pretty damn knowledgeable. Turned out it was a relative of his.

I wouldn't say it's a storefront, but it has windows...

I do not know Joe, I just happened to be in the area while checking out 1200 Wilson Drive and 950 Rittenhouse Road.

Yup, a few of us have.   You only have to justify it to yourself why you would or would not get one.

Looks like it could be stills from a future Half Life game.

Kind of sad when you see a big company close down and see the skeleton left behind.  Kind of like that show on TV Life and Humans or whatever they call it.  One day the walls will fall and new growth will over it all up like it was never there. :(

Yes, Life After Humans is a pretty good show... it does remind you of it... but not that bad yet.
