HP have a nice quad-core laptop with an 18" screen so I'm probably going to snag one of them soon.
A2000, A3000, 2 x A1200T, A1200, A4000Tower & Mediator, CD32, VIC-20, C64, C128, C128D, PET 8032, Minimig & ARM, C-One, FPGA Arcade... and AmigaOne X1000.

I just recently got a Toshiba satellite A500 it's great except the screen is not 2ms like my 22inch Asus. I get nauseus using the laptop screen  after a little while. The big co's always cut corners whereever they can. Buying a 2ms flat panel only increases the price by about $30-$50 talk about being cheap asses. There is no chance you would ever get (or got) a good soundblaster in a name brand system. Alienware are the only ones I know of that do proper gaming rigs.

Yes, but the sound on my 'voodoo was just fantastic compared to the sound on a "regular" laptop (I had both an HP and a Toshiba Q to compare- the Voodoo has 5.1). After working for Dell, I wouldn't even think about buying one of their products, and I have serviced ALienware Desktops from before and after Dell Acquired them. Hands down, the quality of the components was far superior from before the Dell takeover.
I know I can go out and build this laptop myself, after all its just a Clevo "re branded" but to hunt down all the parts is a fantastic PITA, and FalconNW has nothing but glowing reviews on Customer Satisfaction (so did Voodoo before HP) and I would rather support a small shop with less then 20 Employees then Dell any day.

The whole reason I went with Voodoo in the first place, was because for the "small" shop, and it was located in Calgary, Alberta. Less the a 3 hr drive from here. I got to know everyone who worked there. I knew every step of the way, the progress of my rig, right down to the fact that not only could I talk with "MY" salesperson, I could talk with the person building my rig, the person who painted my rig, the graphic designer who designed my custom lid and Rahul, the owner/ president of the company. Heck, they even had a "Voodoopalooza", a weekend where Voodoo owners came from all over the world for a weekend of BBQ's, Warcraft, Gaming (mostly Rock Band)
I have Amiga stuff for sale at http://amigalounge.com. You can follow my builds there also.

Just been talking about this.. Don`t do new stuff unless poss a Mac Mini to run Morphos but for me I always check on the Bay for... say a  Falcon,  or an Atom, Jupiter Ace or an Atari 800 [ strange that last one ]. Need an Atom really, though a good boxed 800 would be nice.. Or an Apple II.

I have too many Amigas, though another 3000T or 4000T would be another nice bookend here... But only if they have the feet and a sense of humour about one or two resident tin can XP machines I have here for the grudge work. This new-fangled stuff really does make the place look untidy.

My last new machine was in fact an Amiga 1200... there you go.

We just bought a 55" Samsung 8500 LED back-lit LCD TV. It definitely qualifies as a computer, albeit not a general purpose one.

An A1200, because my A1200 died :( Although I'm first changing all the capacitors on the A1200 mobo (might mork, might not), I'll want a couple of spares, thus whether it works or not doesn't really matter as far as buying more A1200s goes.

In a fortnight we find out if iSlate is real or not.  If it is, there goes my major computer purchase for the year.

Looking for that new Mac iSlate, quad-core Macbook Pro if released soon and possibly the X1000 if reasonably priced.

It will be no new PC to replace my aging model, but the X-1000, I guess.

Just got an efika. Ignoring the hole in my bank balance and the constant danger of 0% ram, it's pretty nice.
A1200 Computer Combat. OS3.0. No accelerator, no fastram, mouse soon. And ebaying it.

Ordered a Cyberpower PC Desktop 10 days ago from Tigerdirect. ATI Radeon 5870, Intel  i7 960 CPU, 6 GIGs RAM, BluRay Combo Drive, 1TB Drive, for under $2000. Should be able to handle Crysis!
OTOH, I am particularly interested in seeing what happens with Hyperion and the X1000. I've learned not to hold my breath over the past 16 years!
