The animation in this page could be an anagram for Amiga One, maybe they're making or having made a 'legit' as in actually working Amiga One.  Don't get defensive, current A1 owners, we all know Articia had problems.. :-/

What if 'X' means they're going X86?!  I'm not in love with X86 but maybe they just wanted hardware they could actually get without breaking  the bank in development costs.  Hardware that works, is expandable and can be argued to have a future as well as a choice of real, production-ready chip vendors.  Just sayin'..

I'm very happy to be wrong here, if it's a new and hot PPC board that can at least outperform a Mac MDD-FW800 than I'm in :-)

Erm, isn't that an ARM based processor? I think it has been established that the board is a PPC based one.

zorro style slots

Note: Xorro has nothing to do with Zorro. It's not what you think it is.

somekind of FPGA

If you are referring to the Xilinks chip, I *think* (not sure, I am no hardware specialist) it drives the Legacy PCI slots.

Somekinf of video chip called XENA

Xena is no video chip. Someone suggested that but that was a wrong guess. Xena is something different... or... maybe not...

mini pci slot

Nope. This is a CF adaptor.

I don't see why they wouldn't just load kickstart from disk like all existing OS4.x systems.

Perhaps it will make it easier to swap harddisk if the kickstart is located on another device than the original hd.

Well, seriously, most of it is already out there.
2x PCIe 16x (16 lanes connected, they'll scale down to 2x 8x if both are populated)
3x PCIe 1x (Xorro slot in line)
2x PCI legacy slots
4x SATA
8x USB
Onboard Audio
4x RAM socket

It can run 8 programs at 25% each, so that makes it how many cores?

As far as I can see, the only unknown factors not yet guessed are the CPU itself, Xena and Xorro...

For that... well... see you tomorrow ;)
