Its clear that they see Linux as competition they cannot handle any other way ( like trying to be better ) and the reason they are delaying releasing any evidence is a clear employment of FUD. Whip up the fear, what will most conservative IT managers do? Start pulling together an alternative plan and budgeting for alternatives like SCO etc. Then in a months time when the "evidence" is shown to a selected "trusted journalists" ( direct quote ) then the journalists, selected for their technical ineptitude and inability to rid themselves of a pro SCO party line, will report "I can't tell you what I saw but it seems conclusive to me".
Then, by the time it comes to court ( years later ) it will be all have been over for Linux in the industrial/business sector since a year and a half.
Killed by FUD.
It doesn't matter whether they are proven right or wrong, what matters is what the account managers at the 1000+ places they are warning decide the risk is.
A very very sad day, and people are just laughing it off and calling SCO idiots. They are far from idiots, they may and are probably incorrect in their claims but they are clever enough to know it does not matter.
