My problem still exist after several removals
and re-seatings of the Indivision.
v0.9 of the config tool runs and reqognizes the
Indivision hardware, but if I run v1.1, I still get
the empty requester with 2 "OKAY!" buttons.
I also noticed a strange thing with the Indivision:
The socket is slightly damaged, and there is one pin missing... :-o
This is how I received it from Amigakit. I did noticed
it before when installing the card for the first time,
but it didn't bother me because the card was working
great.
Maybe this has something to do with not running the
config tool v1.1?
But why is it running v0.9 then?
Or is it supose to be missing one pin from the socket???
 :-?

My Indivision's socket looked "damaged" too. Like it was nicked by a grinder wheel. Upon close examination though, all the pins seemed intact and my Indivision did work as advertised. I do not recall any pins missing as you say yours is either - but cannot remember now. BTW: all the pics I've seen had the same scuff/nick on that Lisa socket. I just figured they bought a batch of B-stock sockets on the cheap and passed the savings onto us  :-)

I'm sure my problem with the card is hardware related because of the missing pin. I've contacted Amigakit and asked how we can solve this problem.
Let's wait and see...

There's a mention of the socket damage/retooling in the manual. (Did anyone read it?) The original sockets were probably too deep to make proper contact and allow the Indivision to sit at about the same height the RF shield normally sits.

All Indivision 1200s are quality checked and sealed by the manufacturer, Individual Computers before being sent to us.  Your Indivision should have a Quality Tested label on it to show it was tested by Individual Computers.  The box will be sealed when you received it - there should not be any missing pins on the PLCC socket.  We rely on Individual Computers thorough QC testing.  This is very unusual.  Please contact us through our support ticket system.

Considering all the problems I had (including a now mostly dead A1200 motherboard :madashell:) just getting a working system with my Indivision, I'm glad I read this thread and will avoid doing any flash upgrades to the friggin thing for a long long time. Hopefully sometime within the next year, working versions of this stuff will be out.

After my recent problems with the Indivision, I'll be voting with my wallet and simply not purchasing any more or even recommending until these problems are ironed out.

Yeah I'm waiting a while before I even think about getting the A4000 version. It is a pretty cool device, but it isn't quite ready for prime time. In addition to the problems being reported here with the updates (something I haven't tried yet) my big issues are:

* The connector that clips over the chip works OK but doesn't attach as well as the DCE that I had before.

* Should come with a VGA backplate.

* Documentation and marketing information ought to be much clearer about difficulty in using this with a hard drive in a standard 1200 case.

* On my LCD, at least, there are some faint vertical bands that appear on window sliding controls and some dark vertical lines that appear on WorkBench icons. These don't appear on RGB output. Haven't tried on CRT VGA monitor. This isn't a huge issue as it doesn't affect anything else.

It does have great display quality, and when the kinks are worked out it'll be an excellent device. I just hope it stays actively developed so these thinkgs can be fixed.

I've contacted Amigakit and we agreed to send
the Indivision back to Amigakit for analyze.
The card had a crystal clear picture on my 17" CRT
monitor, but because of the missing pin on the
Lisa socket, I couldn't use the config tool to
configure the card.
I have faith that Amigakit comes with a good
solution.
I let you guys know how it expires.

Amigakit will send me a new replacement Indivision
when they get the new batch in stock.
