I am sure it will fetch a nice penny one way or another but this auction should have been stopped and relisted as soon as it was found not to be an orginal C. The auction is very misleading.

I've considered it and am still considering it. Up to this point I have kept it listed because I have added all the updated information, so there is nothing misleading. Check the listing, it is all there. Also the high bidders for the last couple days are all post-update.

I have had an off-eBay offer of $3,800 so pulling the auction would potentially be more profitable than leaving it.

I think it went like this:

Commodore designs and starts to produce A4kTs
Money dries up, bankruptcy occurs
Escom buys up Commodore left-overs, including cases and assembled A/V and disk modules
Escom starts producing A4kTs themselves, starting out by using C= left-overs

In conclusion; Escom starts a new production line of motherboards, but use old C= components as long as supply allows.

Case closed. :-)

Looks like a nice machine..

Seems to be the same as the Quick-Pak, case, Motherboard etc...with
just a "Commodore" front door/panel ..hehe..

If it was ALL orig. Commodore then I would bid :-) and bid to win hehe

Off-Ebay offer of $3,800..your silly not to take the money and run.  No
way the auction will go that high..and if it does the bidders are HIGH ;-).

Nope, look at the sticker on the back of the case. At least the whole case is Commodore.

The only different between Commodore and Escom case is the front bezel. Everything else is the same. But also Commodore used the Escom bezel in some adverts.

I've received clarification from the previous owner, so it is official. This 4000T was purchased by the previous owner with a bad motherboard, so he swapped the bad mb with an AT motherboard.

$2859 AUD!!!!!! 14 year old computer????

That is a Mac Pro!

I am all for the value in vintage stuff and appreciate Amiga has kept it's value over the last 10 years but seriously?? This thing could break down tomorrow.
Amiga, Amiga, Where for art thou Amiga?
