You may want to fire a quick email off to MAG to register your interest at attending- they need the support.

Nothing to confirm yet, but I'm looking at attending.  Timing and finances are road blocks at the moment.

We have two units in Cardiff so of course, you are welcome to visit(see http://www.amigakit.co.uk ) When will your trip be?

I'm heading to Brazil for a month on Monday, so it will be after I get back from that.  We're aiming for 24 Sep to 8 Oct (although the wife is only coming for the first week as she has to go back to work).  However, I got an email from my company yesterday saying that I might have to work over for a couple of days, so depending on their definition of "a couple of days" is, my plans might slip a week.  Hopefully I'll know more soon so I can book my flights.

I figured it was a good chance to save on some postage and even pick up that Catweasel in person.  :-)

(If you can explain to me where the hell Ninian Park is then that would be great too!)

The offices are not far from Ninian Park (3 miles approx)

We will be closed from the September 26th - September 29th as we are attending Pianeta Amiga Show in Italy ( http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/keydates.php )

@amigakit

thanks for the offer of a ride from SFO to Amiwest. I will consider it. I'll talk with my better half and see what comes of it :)

Btw, isn't Pianeta Amiga Show the 20th and 21st of September this year? (ref their homepage here)

Cheers

EDIT: PS, thanks for the SFO heads up. The air fare got very much cheaper. From about 8000NOK to 5500NOK. That's about £250GBP difference (£1 = 10NOK).
A posting a day keeps the sanity away...

SFO is much cheaper to fly into as it is a major airport.

Pianeta Amiga is not 20th/21st - it has be rescheduled and the webpage has not been updated yet.

OK.  Best mail that Catweasel just in case my plans go completely tits-up, but I'll do my best to swing by and visit and see what hareware you can tempt my wallet with.  :-)

I've been trying to make it to an AmiWest since '99.  Finances and time are generally against me.  Is there anything closer to my side of the US that Amiga-type folk attend?  I'm at the top of the part that looks like a giant wang.

Unfortunately, no.  There is the Vintage Computer Festival East in New Jersey, the Cincinnati Commodore Computer Club (C4) Expo in Ohio, and the Emergency Chicagoland Commodore Convention (ECCC) in Illinois.

Are you based in Wales and do you have a "real" shop?

Matthew's shop that I saw in June was quite an eye-opener!  Lots and lots of new hardware and software (and used stuff, too).  Eventually, the photos of my visit to AmigaKit will be posted.

shazam!
I haven't been to AmiWest since 1999 or 2000.  We (South Tahoe Amiga Group) had a booth setup demoing Paul Nolands Photogenics and Amiga Forever and selling used hardware/software. Was a lot of fun, spent way too much money. Won ImageFX in one of the raffles. Think I'll mark this one down for an attendance, baring the unforseen of course, and I'm only two or so hours from Sucatomato.

I'm an hour and a half away, and I finally have some $$ to blow, but no car and I'll be working that day. Gad.  :-(
Amiga 3000D UP and running! Hear that clicking. 8)
Amiga 3000D & 4000D in storage sadly.

I haven't been in years, but I think I'll stop by this time and pick up a new scandoubler for my A1200. ;)

I probably will not go. I would like to buy a ticket though.
It would be nice if they sold a 1 hour video for those who cannot attend.

I'll be going, although I'm not sure I'll spend the entire day there.
