Cloanto not shipping Amiga Forever stuff?

got my copy of Premium edition last week too... it came from Digital River , I also have the 2 previous version, Cloanto never failed me...

Lost my installation in a crash already and the download links...the only thing I hadn't in my backups.

...well, after some hunting I could find where I ordered it and now reloading it - 500+ MB just for the installer and license....now I'll backup it wholly!

I'll find it idiotic it has files on C: as I have another drive dedicated to Amiga stuff - AmiKit and lots of ADFs and installers.

S#t, still missing the install instructions.

Woot... I finally got my copy the other day... Going on seven weeks but Cloanto came through...

I would not hold my breath. I have emailed Cloanto five times, called Avantgate twice, no matter what, I get no resolution. Avantgate told me there is not much they can do which is RIDICULOUS.
My order was placed June 4th.

Thanks, trip. I decided the time had come to sort my Amiga 1200 out so I've been spending a bit more time keeping up on the Amiga forums. Now that I've got a complete WHDLoad set install there's a pretty good chance my participation is going to go back down. For example, I was up until 5am last night playing Crystal Hammer.


Glad to hear you got your copy. I'm going to order mine today. I'm in no rush so it will be a nice surprise the day it arrives. There's nothing better than coming home and finding something other than bills in the mailbox.

 Avangate listed the package as delivered four weeks ago. So I spent some time trying to find out where the package was. Stupid me, I didn't realize delivered means "we got your order" in Italian.

Got mine two days ago. Quite the rigmarole and like others I just wish I had received some sort of email about it (even if only to inform me of a delay). Anyway, at least this has been resolved, finally...

I replied to you via private mail to see if this has been resolved.

At the same time this deserves a public apology, and we will be sending out a small present to customers who have been affected.

I'd also like to briefly explain the delays and what we are doing to cure this.

There was a backlog on orders for physical products in June (downloads always worked fine). In theory our goal was and is that our third-party e-commerce partners ship the physical goods within 24 hours of the order. This is what they are equipped to do better than we do. Unfortunately this is not operational yet. We are trying to see with them how to best adapt their system to provide both the instant download and the separate physical delivery. This is also the reason why some customers contacted Avangate or Share-It to inquire about their order, and were (incorrectly) told that the order had already been completed (with the download). In any case, the backlog should have been resolved several weeks ago, as we shipped some remaining products on their behalf.

We also did indeed have a series of email problems. This was both a server crash that prompted an upgrade, and a spam-related update (our web forms and email addresses were getting 1000+ spam mails/day) which however was overly aggressive. I believe this has now been corrected with the new reCaptcha-based forms. The email backlog is however not fully resolved. As Nicola is away (just got married!) I am going through the queue myself and will be following up personally on outstanding issues.

We are now shipping orders and answering emails normally. I expect that by August orders should ship directly by a choice of at least two different providers. This is what we are still working on.

Amiga life is not always easy and when these things happen we all feel the extra pressure. Thank you all for your patience and support.

Mine took a very long time to arrive, about a month.  I wasn't worried though as this is my 3rd copy of Amiga Forever.

It's all here and it's all good!

Cloanto thanks for the public response... It helps everybody know what is going on and understand better. Also, thanks for another great product. I am very happy with the 2008 version.

It took a looong time to get to me in Canada (over 4 months since order date to delivery) but some of that delay was the new version coming out, and Cloanto contacted me about that in March. Got mine just over a month ago (ordered on March 4)so far, I am happy with it, but I still have to "learn" how to utilize it properly (but thats a whole other thread).

Hey, Anyone still having problems? I ordered a AmigaForever Premium on the 5th of December, no package and no answer to emails.
