The ad is a bit misleading.  Technically, all computers are "Portable" to one extent or another.  The SX-64 was, more or less, "Luggable," but still needed to be set up on a table or desk and plugged into a wall to be used properly.  The first "Truly" portable computer was the TRS-80 model 100 and its ilk.

Love the SX...great for packing to a friends house...

I sure have, I used one back in the day at a dealer.  I wanted one back then really badly so I could take it with me to friends places and we could both have a 64 running at the same time.

They are one of the first affordable luggable computers, IMHO.

I have 1.5.

One works, the other has a bad power supply (the whole back end comes off!)
