The problem isnt wether Amiga will rise again, its the fact that no one has faith in Bill anymore.  There's only so many times that you can keep promising things and not produce before people start to feel negativity and hostility.  Until we can have a new promised machine and some software worth a darn that is complete in our little hands then we can start to belive again.   Remember the story of the boy who cried wolf?? kinda the same except empty promises and our beloved machine being passed around from company to company like a game of hot potato.  Belive if you want and yes it is nice to actually see something abroad, but most people wont believe in them again without something solid.  That's just reality.

in my opinion people who are still using or emulating amiga as a hobby have got problems when viewed from the outside or sometimes inside. I can't stereotype all us people but at least the majority seems like they are living their lives on the edge. They seem obsessive. They seem like they are never satisfied. One major common thing is they usually don't complete what they started be it a new harware or a new software or something they want to do in life. They are absolutely different folk.

tell me we are normal!

@ Iggy Drouge:

Only because we all have different opinions, and you dont like it, doesnt make it trolling!

Does that mean your sentence is trolling too, as your not talking about hardware??(check below)

y Iggy_Drougge on 2007/5/25 7:54:30

Why is it that every stupid thread shows up in the hardware forum? If you're going to troll, at least do it in the correct forum.

Firstly, why should I be kicked out, when I havent said anything bad against any of you, but yet, many of you are saying bad things towards me in sly ways??

I have no idea what you're talking about. I did say things to you, but that's because i prefer to say it in your face than to PM someone and say "That starke is up to it again, and blahblahblah". I just say what's on my mind.

Quote

I mean, I remember the first month, I supported Amiga.org & I payed to the kitty, I fed the kitty, but then not so long in the second month, I got kicked, how is that nice??

Well, i have a tip for you. Write your post. Read it again. Adjust where needed(read: too obnoxious, and repeating... Dude, seriously, it's always the same with you. "Amiga will rise" and "Windows and OSX sux" and {bleep} like that)

Quote

Here, instead of doing it slyly, do it like this:
So steve, hows you short messages services going to all your gay clients?? I am only assuming you are the guy at that phone shop one of my cousines mafia people saw!

FYI the "SMS" in my nick stands for Sega Master System.
It's the best 8-bit console (yes console, not computer!) in the whole wide world.

Quote

Why did I just judge you, because you just judged me, not nice is it??

HAH! Like i give a {bleep}.

Anyway, you seem like a good person, so tell me, dont you believe in life just being one big Chance?

If you walk down your street in da hood, isnt there a chance you could strike it lucky and meet someone who wishes to employ you and is willing to pay you heaps??

At the same time, isnt there a chance you walk down the same streets in the same hood, and you get shot and die??

LIFE is chance, as with Life there is hope!

Where is your hope gone for anything, be it Amiga, or be it in your own personal life?

Well, i have a question for you. Did you sniff/smoke/take something? Sure sounds like it.
Oh and btw, i already have a job, and i love doing it, thank you very much.

You on the other hand, don't seem to have a job. I mean, think about it. All you do is nag about the same thing all the time, and spamming the forums. Seriously, get a life, my friend.

Quote

Theres still a chance for Amiga in todays world, even to prosper in particular areas, I mean, why do you think they partnered with the indian company for??

To have a party, drink beer or whatever they drink there, and find some ladies?
No, all seriousness on a stick, there might be a chance that amiga will "rise", as you say it so nicely *cough*, but as many A.Org users i have to see it until i believe it.
I do have an Efika, so if MOS2.0 comes out i'll be very happy.
If there's new HW for the A1 platform (OS4) then i'll buy that too.

I'm just getting sick and tired of little kids like you, with an extreme focused mind on something that's probably a lost cause.
Why don't you post something serious for a change?

Other people here on A.Org post things like "I have this problem" or "Check out my cool A1200" or "Wow, this game is really nice".
No matter how many times you reregister, as long as you don't change your forum attitude, you will always get the same answers.

It's nothing personal, and maybe, IRL you are a good person and whatnot, but judging from your posts, you're an obnoxious little kid. And i don't mean physically, but mostly mentally.

Friendly greetings,

Steve

I believe the expression you were looking for is "meet the status quo"

In regards to said school in which people use iPods to be cool, I would suggest that you spend a little more time there. Brush up on your logical reasoning, grammar, and etiquette. Then we'll talk.

We all share at least part of your enthusiasm - that's why we're members here - but your attitude is unrealistic and offensive to others. I'm sure we'd all love to see the Amiga conquer the world, but no amount of cheerleading is going to make a difference until there's an actual product for sale that we can buy immediately and show off to our friends.

@ SteveSMS:

Your the idiot, anyone knows that SMS also stands for short messageing service.

Another thing, Im at work right now, I work 5 days a week, I am a cartographer. I am part of the CAD team. And I did not say that you dont have a job, I was merely making a statement and using an example, gees, I think your the one who needs a life.

Another note, Unlike you, I go out and have fun, which makes sense, why I havent been on these forums for like 5 months, and before the 5 months, I was only on for a month, so whos the guy with no LIFE??

I say its you MY FRIEND!!

Enjoy flaming me, I'll just sit on the side and enjoy the show!

Now to all those who talk about trolling, anything I said previously wasnt trolling, this is!! DO YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE??

Let me make it blunt(I didnt mention AMIGA anywhere!

@ FaLLeNOnE,

I must disagree.  Eventhough I am very tired of the extreme and ignorant people who post messages and threads here from time to time, I still think that the majority of Amiga.org members are NORMAL PEOPLE that have a higher than average intelligence, because they recognize that the Amiga computer platform was a superior product AT ONE POINT IN TIME.  They still stick around here and many still use there Amigas from time to time, because they enjoy working on and sharing their Amiga experiences with other Amiga users and enthusiasts.

It is just a few    people that post here too often that make it bad for the rest.  In my opinion of course, and I am sure there is at least one person on this thread that is going to disagree with me and make some rediculous statement about my post.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

@Amigadave:

No, I agree with you on most of your post, accept for the NORMAL statement, as I forementioned in another posting,

None of us can really define what Normal truly is.

For example, If you think your normal, whos to say that if you were observed for a whole day that everyone would agree, what if only 50% of the worlds population agrees that your normal??

and if so, are you then implying That, that would mean that the other 50% are whacko or crazy??

Anyway, nice post, your right, I remeber when all my primary school friends came over to play on my A1000, and i do remember that if you had an Amiga back then, you could be the talk of fellow school friends when you told them you got this awesome new game called Crystal hammer. Or Street Fighter II for your amiga.

Nonetheless, I will get the upper end system in a few months time, once again, assuming that they stick with the new image of their company inrecent times, which is, they are working things out to get things onto the market.

Cheers!! 8-)  8-)
