@ SteveSMS:

Firstly, why should I be kicked out, when I havent said anything bad against any of you, but yet, many of you are saying bad things towards me in sly ways??

Even below isnt saying anything bad towards anyone, as it is merely just paying someone back for doing it to me, but yet, they dont kick you out, maybe they should?

I mean, I remember the first month, I supported Amiga.org & I payed to the kitty, I fed the kitty, but then not so long in the second month, I got kicked, how is that nice??

Here, instead of doing it slyly, do it like this:
So steve, hows you short messages services going to all your gay clients?? I am only assuming you are the guy at that phone shop one of my cousines mafia people saw!

Why did I just judge you, because you just judged me, not nice is it??

Anyway, you seem like a good person, so tell me, dont you believe in life just being one big Chance?

If you walk down your street in da hood, isnt there a chance you could strike it lucky and meet someone who wishes to employ you and is willing to pay you heaps??

At the same time, isnt there a chance you walk down the same streets in the same hood, and you get shot and die??

LIFE is chance, as with Life there is hope!

Where is your hope gone for anything, be it Amiga, or be it in your own personal life?

HENCE

Theres still a chance for Amiga in todays world, even to prosper in particular areas, I mean, why do you think they partnered with the indian company for?? 8-)  8-)

If he weren't so obnoxious, I would feel sorry for him because he is obviously not right in the head.  English does not appear to be his native language so that could explain some of the communication problem, but he appears to know it well enough, so I can't cut him too much slack.

I hope he does get banned, because it is people like him that make me wonder if I want to be here anymore.  Between people like him (if there are any that come close to his insanity) and the people at the other end of the extreme who are so negative about almost everything they see or hear about, I get discouraged and embarrased to be associated with the name Amiga anymore.

Where are the NORMAL Amiga users anymore?  People with reason and common sense?  I am not perfect in any way, but these extreme people are wearing me down lately.  Maybe I should just take a vacation from here. :-(
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

@ Amigadave:

I am sorry to make you feel that way, maybe if people were not negative towards me, I wouldnt feel the need to be over positive.

And by the way,

no one can define what normal is, as what is normal for one person, is not normal for another human being.
(normal is relative)

Also to note, you seem like a nice character, curious, what Amiga you using at home?? I have in recent times been getting some games that I had never played on my A1000 before, these include:

Dune 2, Behind the iron gate, global effect, and a couple of others.

cheers!! 8-)  8-)

Well, I'll hand it to you; you are one persistant guy. :-)

Amiga has a tremendous long way to go if it were to steal market from the top two, Apple and Microsoft.

If the hardware was dirt cheap and came with tons of software, then yeah, it might have had a chance.  Unfortunately it's really expensive and has literally no apps.

Well, I will do my part.  I will buy the $500 version and do my best developing stuff for it: as a *niche* which is exactly what it is, and will forever be.

Unfortunately.

@Starke/AmigaRules:

Reasons why you were kicked (probably) and why you generally irritate most people here:

1. Biggest irritation: you reply to almost every single message placed here. It's too much to read and most of your messages don't contribute in any way at all. Stop it!

2. You keep on trolling on how we should believe the Amiga will rise. That way you're like some Jehova's witness who you can't get rid of. Stop that! Everyone has and must be allowed to have his own opinion. No need to keep on spreading yours as the one truth.

3. You attack people personally, how we all are wrong in thinking something else that you think is true (hmm, same as 2 really, but you get the point - hopefully).

4. Every subject about Amiga's future has been discussed over and over again. Most newbies often learn that we don't want to keep beating dead horses over here. Maybe on other sites, but not amiga.org. Please respect that and keep your mindless blabbering to yourself. Or go talk to Doomy.

There, I've done it again. I keep saying to myself "don't feed the troll", but again, I couldn't resist. I will digress momentarily. :-)

He was mocking you!!!

And as to your other posts about me, I have 20 classic Amigas, at least one of each model ever made at my home with a collection of accessories and original boxed software, magazines and books that fill a small room from floor to ceiling.  I am an Amiga collector and active user.  Just helped another fellow Amiga user to fix a problem with their Amiga Toaster/Flyer system that they still make their living with.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

OK, lets say your right, that there isnt enough software/utilities, or maybe, you just havent done enough research, or looked into it enough??

Pagestream 4.1, Photogenics 5, *ImageFX 4.5, Final Writer 5, Perfect Paint 2.93, Ghostscript, Directory Opus 5, SGrap, MCP, Turboprint 7, MakeCD, Mindspace, CubiC IDE(pro), AmiNet Radio, RockBeat(Audio),Candy Factory 2, TuneNet(MP3), KHTML, IBrowse 2.4, DVPlayer(DVD), AmiDisk(File Manager), XNet, ARexx(Scripting), Lightwave, Aladdin 4d, Cinema4d, Imagine, Monzoom3D/Reflections, Persistance of Vision, Real 3D, Tornado3D, ArtEffect 4, FXPaint, Image Engineer, Video Toaster, Delux Paint 5, TV Paint, Personal Paint, Xi Paint, MooVid, MaVi, TapAvi, Soft Cinema, CyberAvi, Purple Cow, Cygnix (Linux Port), YAM, Cranu, Easy ADF, Poseidon, Docket 3, Amiga writer 2.2, AmiAtlas6, StormC 4, FX Scan 4, AmiPhoto, Anotice 2, Cyber Graphix 4, AmiDiction 3.4, Twin VNC, PointRider, MPlayer, Papryus Office, Burn It, ArtStudio

And many more, so I really dont know why your saying theres not enough software here, when yet, most home users of there current computers would only use the likes of microsoft office suite and perhaps a program like photoshop???

Also to note, if you want to look at the games section, lets work from the games that are 2002 onwards, and yes, varuious games listed here may well be from 1998 onwards, but just look through the list:

Alien nations, Heretic II, Majesty, Rage Hand, Shogo Mad, Crossfire II, Software Tycoon, Tales Of Tamar, Quake II, The Feeble Files, Battle For Wesnoth, Aqua, Payback, Land Of Genesis, Earth2140, Earth 2140 Mission Pack, Freespace:The Great War, Exodus:The Last War, Nightlong, Codename Hell Squad, Joyride, Foundation:Gold Edition, Bubble Heroes, Virtual Ball Fighters, Simon The Sorcerer, Seaside, Gorky17, Broken Sword, Broken SwordII

Now, if you ask me, all the above arent bad if you want to say that its a dead platform.

In other words, for something that everyone is saying is dead, and only the classik amiga will live on, well, then how did these come about, considering that the only Amiga's after the A1200's were the Amiga ones in 2002????

Cheers!! 8-)  8-)

P.S. Please feel free to buy total amiga magazines or the dvd, no profit is made on these magazines, the price you pay is solely for the cost of the production of the magazine. (thank you stopthegop, you magazines allow me to keep the hope that theres a possible future for Amiga, that isnt just classik hardware)

Actually Im with everyone else, people like this turn me off the miggy forums.
They are not just day dreaming but have actually lost a grip on reality, I am guessing they are all 12 y/o kids who think they are the brightest kid on the block or such like.

AmigaRises: Please please please dont jip Microsoft my saying "its the programming" and such, it just shows you dont know wtf your talking about, chill out, read the other forum posts and try not to rush into replies.
If you dont, and just post "wow, you fitted 24 CELL chips in your PS3?!?! thats so cool" your gonna be hated, not because we are mean but because you are acting foolish.

..... hmmm Ive dribbled on a bit to much there, oh well.
/me takes his magic pills  :-D

20 year old software or linux ports, great.  I do desktop publishing, where's something that even comes close to Quark?  Video Toaster is old, analogue, non-HD and lacks most of the feature of Final Cut.  TV Paint is neat, but if you want a version created in the 21st Century you have to have a Mac or PC, I use version 8.1.  How about a Garageband for the Amiga?  Photoshop?  MP3 editor?  Can you rip a DVD to an ipod on an Amiga? (Did that last night on a Mac whilest surfing the web).  With cassette tapes dead I've been trying to get my last tapes onto modern technology, I capture and clean the hiss and other noise from them and save them as MP3s, can you do that on an Amiga?  I have audio and video in a dozen different formats, including lossless, to add another one I add add a Codec, how many codecs for Amiga?

The Minimig is promising, an Amiga in a small portable device to play retro games.  I'm definitely going to buy/build one of those.  But that's playing classic games for fun, it won't bring the Amiga back.  For that it needs state of the art hardware and software.  And a killer app. Amiga has neither and is not likely to since it is a two person company - a web developer and a web developer appointed president :-D

What we\'re witnessing is the sad, lonely crowing of that last, doomed cock.

Why is it that every stupid thread shows up in the hardware forum? If you're going to troll, at least do it in the correct forum.

The problem isnt wether Amiga will rise again, its the fact that no one has faith in Bill anymore.  There's only so many times that you can keep promising things and not produce before people start to feel negativity and hostility.  Until we can have a new promised machine and some software worth a darn that is complete in our little hands then we can start to belive again.   Remember the story of the boy who cried wolf?? kinda the same except empty promises and our beloved machine being passed around from company to company like a game of hot potato.  Belive if you want and yes it is nice to actually see something abroad, but most people wont believe in them again without something solid.  That's just reality.
