Hey, get it right! It's actually an NEC V30 at 10.7MHz! :)

Actually these are quite funky little cards, they do up to VGA (mono) and EGA (slow!) graphics, can use hard disks and all that, and I think support using Amiga RAM and Soundblaster emulation and everything too.

OK, it ain't gonna run Quake 4, but it's a nice little toy for running 1980s PC titles. :)

Actually, I think it doesn't offer Soundblaster emulation - the first emulator that did offer it was PCx, and even that it wasn't fully compatible.

Ah, the KCS Power PC Board (no, not PowerPC! :-) ) These are quite common actually (at least in Holland/Europe), I bought one myself last week, including the somewhat rare Zorro-II adapter.

Tell us (in the US) more - what is the rare Zorro-II adapter like?

And can you get me one too? :)

I think it allows usage in the A2000. There's even an adaptor for the A600 which adds a cute extra floor to the A600 .

The V30 is actually about the same speed as a 286, but it's not compatible.

And it does Ad-lib and Soundblaster emulation - PCx was the first software emulation to offer it...

V30 is 8086 compatible.  I'm looking for one to upgrade my IBM PCjr to 10MHz.  :-D
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

Didn't know that, thanks for the clarification. Since I don't see any audio connector on the board, I believe the Adlib/SB emulation was done in software, then.

Wow!  It sold for $102AU!

I have one of these boards, but my driver/software disk has gone corrupt (and cannot find a replacement image online).

Is there anyone who can e-mail me a disk image? (this isn't pirating because this is a driver for a physical piece of hardware)

Or does anyone know where it is available online?  Please PM me if you can help, thanks.

;-) Try L8R.net, they legally host driver disk images for obsolete hardware.  They've gone to the trouble of obtaining permission from the various copyright holders, so it's all above board.  Good luck, and have fun!
