I think the point of all this legal pap is that the Amiga Inc. that created the Eyetech AmigaONE etc... is not the same one that exists now.. despite having all the same crooks in charge... the current Amiga Inc. want to ignore anything that the old Amiga Inc. did to get out of legal obligations etc... Shell game fun!!!

If they stand on that point. The contract was also signed by the old "AmigaInc". You can't pick out the nuggets and leave the rest behind.

We will see. Bill McEwen is just the megaphone (puppet on a string).

 :-D Take a look :-D

Exactly from the thread I started here...
http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=28895

Seems if the motherboards are not Amigaone than Amiga could be sued for fraud as stated earlier by Methuselas, or Bill himself since his name is on the statement from above link.
If this makes it clear these motherboards are Amiga it would apear Bills statement in the lawsuit are bogus.
Screwed either way.

Guys this isnt this hard, and Amiga Inc is correct.  First of all this is all covered in paragraph 22, which is about the Acube & Hyperion alliance and it hits on the fact that Hyperion apparently sold OS4s to people that had Teron boards (ie AmigaOne boards sold without OS4) as several have commented both here and on AW.net that they bought OS4 from Hyperion.  An AmigaOne is the motherboard (or a whole computer) sold with OS4.  Given that there is nothing for Acube to distribute for Amigaones, because every single one of them was SUPPOSED to have been sold with OS4, (though obviously some of the originals didnt ship with the product) Amiga Inc is insuring that they Acube isnt selling Teron boards with OS4 and calling them AmigaOnes, they dont have the right to do that and Hyperion doesnt have the right to license them the rights to do that.   Amiga Inc received royalites for OS4 for the Teron boards (sic AmigaOnes) from Eyetech, Acube has no more right to sell Teron boards with OS4 and call them Amigaones, then I have the right to sell macs with OS4 and call them Amigaones or Red has the right to sell Pegasus IIs with OS4 and call them AmigaOnes.

As more and more news of this sort of thing comes out it makes me glad that I simply stuck with my A4000 and never went any farther with Amiga products.

I hope you didn't take it personal. Regardless of who is in question or what they did, we cannot allow direct personal insults like thief or crook. Your opinion and message is allowed, I may even fully agree with you. It's all about the way the message is brought across.

OTOH I would applaud any legal action, you may find enough people to proceed. A few years ago no, now possibly.

*Edit*
BTW, how's the book going? :-)

@Jose & bloodline

Yeah I was a mod once before and I walked away from it while i ran Anachronism, for (my) fear of a conflict of interest. That company is gone and I am back for what stared as a temporary thing but seems to have become permenant.

It's the bit underneath the chequered squares below his username that gives it away. The ones that were seemingly always there.... ;-)

@Jim

See, you are back again, even if not as frequently as you were. I knew you couldn't really leave ;-)

Hmmm... Hint to Hyperion: Sell the rights to this soap-opera to some Hollywood producer and get filty rich....

In a cinema near you, soon.... Amiga vs Hyperion: the story.

starring:
- Verne Troyer, as Bill McEwen
- Mike Myers, as Ben Hermans
- Michael Richards, as the judge

Or something like that ;-)

Man... why can't there 'just' be new hardware that runs OS4?
Get a SAM, while you can! The new AMIGA is here!
