@TjLaZer

And aren't you glad I didn't just hand you a promisary note!  :lol:

Okay, that was my 5 seconds of humor on this thread.  Back to the serious matter at hand.  :madashell:

No he has not replied to my email yet.  He told me that before, that he gets stuff from people/goodwill and sells the stuff he doesn't want.

So he scores all this extremely rare and exotic (and expen$ive!!) hardware -- stuff like high spec A4000 Towers, G-Rexx PCI expansions, Phase5 Cyberstorm boards, GVP 060 turbo boards, original Amiga Multisync monitors, ultra-rare 15KHZ-capable VGA monitors, DKB memory boards, Toasters, Flyers, Picasso IVs, Zorro SCSI II cards, and who knows what else...

Thats quite a feat, to have arranged a steady supply of the very same hardware pieces that NO ONE else in the world can find. Anywhere. For any price!  So he just hooked up with the local Salvation Army and, just like that, hit paydirt!  Even better, "the charities give the stuff away"??  Ya, right!

Either he's just that much smarter than the rest of us or he's a total freak'n moron for thinking anyone would believe such sh1t.     Me thinks the latter.
Primary:
A4000T. Phase5 PPC604e-233mhz/060-66mhz. Mediator, Z3 Fastlane, Voodoo5, Delfina, X-Surf, AD516, Peggy Plus.

Collection:
A4000D, A1200, A500, Milan060 (Atari clone), Atari MegaSTE, Atari TT030, C64, C128, Mattel Aquarius, (2) HP Jornada....

He told me he gets "donations" of old computers from people and he then resells the stuff he does not want.

One time he tried to get me to send him the floppy drives I had. He PMailed saying that I should send them to him and he would determine if they worked. The idea being that he'd pay me for the working ones, I guess. I declined the offer. Maybe that's the kind of donations he gets.

couple of months ago I posted A1200 for sale, and he emailed me that my description is not accurate, - because I said that Amiga 1200 is one of the best Amigas ever with Aga chipsets, great compatibility, etc..., he was acting extremely rude, saying that Amiga 2000 & 3000 are the best, and that I should probably change it, he cursed in email a lot, lol.
seriously he sounded almost mad me thinks :lol:
to contradicts what he was saying, he just sold his A1200 before that, and was stating totally opposite(awesome system and so on, about A1200 of course).
what a twisted sh%#head...
I would suggest never to deal with this guy.

The following idea was inspired by the people who sabotaged the Wii/PS3 Ebay Price Scalpers.

Just make a brand new ebay account. Then bid $999999 dollars on every auction that he puts up and never pay him.

@Chubbyrain

The problem with that is that you need a credit card to get an account, or at least I remember having to need one when I joined.

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&myWorld=true&userid=geekygeorge

Is that the same guy with a different account?

Too much coinsidence that he goes by a similar moniker,and also seems to sell a lot of Amiga stuff... Notice his location isn't specific either.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110090553922

Just like some of RetroGeek's auctions, he uses cheesy background music that is eerily similar (if not the same)... Also notice the phrase that says: "NOTE: Buyer agrees to prepay by Money Order or PayPal"

Same phrase RetroGeek uses, except he does not accept PayPal as RetroGeek... Since his PayPal account under GeekyGeorge might be verified, he may not want to be identified by people who've purchased from him "alternate" identity.

If this is the case, he is in violation of eBay terms of use.  More ammunition for those of you who are seeking justice of some sort.

BTW, I found that while searching for more Amiga stuff on eBay.  The eBay alias just seemed too close to just be coinsidence, and the wording in his auction plus that cheesy music sort of sealed the case.

So was he to pay you for the items after he sold them or something? Well since he has sold them why not ask him, or visit him (assuming you live close to him)? I have dealt with him on a couple of occasions and he has comed through for me. I have heard others have had the opposite experience. I will email him and get his take on this and let you know.

but... you are a moderator of his site! or not?

You should know him much better than us!

I was gonna say its hard not to doubt your sincerity TJ when you are a moderator on his forum and obviously a buddy of his.  Since you promote his gospel then of course he isn't going to try to rip you off.
