I just joined this thread and just read all 7 pages and Just cant believe you guys.

A female that is in IT, and has an amiga, and your all ready to gknaw your arms off........

Sure, I was all "Hubba Bubba" at the pic, and I am amazed she has not used a pic of a hippo sized woman just to have a laugh at the responses. I mean most of the people here are probably old enough to be her father.

Give her a break guys, its quite a change from Bangladesh, and I hope she will be happy with the buggeringly cold winters of the UK.  At least the UK doesnt have a sea of Rickshaws down the street (yet).
Although I am sure london is getting there.

Mel, Another place you might wish to join for amiga related discussion, is eab (English amiga board) at http://eab.abime.net where i am sure there will be less drool lining the floor :).

Welcome to the world of amiga :)

Instead of waiting for them to post, couldn't you just stab yourself in the neck with a screwdriver?
:-P

@Karlos,

I've learned alot of sythatically DIFFERENT languages:
Basic (C64/PICK/Visual), Pascal, Lisp/Scheme, C, C++, Fortran, Visual FoxPro, 8088 assembly, 6502/8502 assembly, Ada, PHP and I have come to the conclusion that as far as high-level languages go - C/C#/C++/PHP/JAVA and the like are fugly.  All assembly is fuglier, but those are not high-level languages.

Though JAVA and C# fixes alot of the "tacked-on" feel of C++.

This is the reason why we aussies call them "SEPTIC's".

Yes, I've used that adjective many times, however, me thinks it may go above and beyond, if you get my drift ;-)

In the world of Lou_Dias, c is a pain in the butt, VB meets the project requirements and pays the bills. It's a shame that he doesn't understand that for most developers vb doesn't meet the requirements, doesn't pay the bills, and millions of people don't have trouble with C++.

But it shouldn't come to any suprise. Hes got a passion for the fiero, but when it came time to trick out his ride he didn't pick up a wrench, he took it to a shop. Oh well. Some people just like their toys but don't have the heart to get their hands dirty.

And when he gets dumped he will tell you his ex got fat.

I'm not sure what you don't believe, however, they can clearly be identified by the ones who took it to heart and felt the need to return comment.

Would you like me to email you more pictures of us together over the course of 3 years?  It's funny, the people who feel insulted don't feel a need to disprove the insult, only belittle me, right after I disproved the first insult thrown at me...

If they were secure with themselves, they wouldn't be insulted to begin with.  Oh well...that's life.  Deal with it.

If you were secure with your self, you would never have mentioned your ex, and you would have never tried to convince the world that visual basic is the holy grail of software development.

I kind of had the feeling that perhaps you felt inadequate about your programming capabilities, but now i'm inclined to wonder if perhaps you are gay as well, seing that you feel the need to bring up the topic of your relationships with women in your past, as if you have something to prove in this area of your life?

Not that there is anything wrong with being gay. I mean... you have already come out as a VB programmer. Perhaps there is something you would like to tell us?

I don't think he's gay, he just appears to suffer from "short arse syndrome".

Talk about thinking the world revolves around you. :roll:

@Yetihw
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe the post of yours that lou_dias quoted was aimed at the erstwhile Bangla-beauty Mel_Zoom.

It totally was. The fact that lou read that on page one ( 5 pages before he jumped into this thread ) and immediately intrepreted it that way made me wonder if he has something to prove in that department. Why on earth would somebody be inclined to email a complete stranger a set of pictures with them and their ex girlfriend over a period of time for proof of a relationship is just plain weird.

Short arse syndrome/Napoleon complex, whatever you want to call it.

edit:

WTF would someone even keep lots of photographs of their ex-girlfriend even?
