I find myself tinkering around with my 1200 from time to time. It's quite heavily upgraded and a very nice machine, but I have to divide my attention between my C64/C128, my CBM8032-SK and my A1200 and A3000 (apart from keeping my pc network running, ofcourse). All in all, I can't give enough attention to any of the machines but as they are all in one room and ready to be switched anytime I want, it's te best I can do. Ah well, nostalgia is a great hobby! :-)
Life sucks. Then you die. Then they throw mud in your face. Then you get eaten by worms. Be happy it happens in that order... My Amiga 1200

I only turn on my Classic Amigas once in a while to make sure they still work (they do).

May not be a great idea, as turning them on and off is exactly what wears them out, and in theory, left quietly and well stored, they ought to be okay years later.

Just a thought.

I'm buying a house in the next month, and I'm planning my new computer room and office around my Amiga systems (pathetic, eh?)

I would'nt call it pathetic. I would love to have a spare room that I can setup all my Commodore gear, thats one of the main reasons that my Amiga has been lofted (if its even a word :-)  )just lack of room to keep everything setup. I even went to strange lengths to make room for the amiga like buying a complete new micro barebones PC (but it was'nt very good so it now runs amithlon), so I had to go back to my desktop setup. Even used a monitor switchbox to try and keep the PowerTower and PC together using one monitor, but the PT was'nt designed to sit beside another PC Tower in these modern computer desk's and with lack of space I cant fit in a descent desk. And then when my scandoubler finally broke, I just used the amiga less and even bought a Philips CM8833-II to try and replace the scandoubler but I didnt like some of the games displayed like arcade pool which didnt look too smooth and adam's family which the gfx sometime broke up and displayed black lines though some of the sprites and since all my work is involved with PC's. I just was'nt to happy with the amiga, but like afew other guys around here, I made the mistake of selling my amiga1200 blizzard 060 setup and had to rebuild. So this time I said screw the expense and got the best setup I could get! so I'm never gonna make that mistake and sell my Amiga as one day it will return from the loft. If I ever find another scandoubler :-D
Specs:
A1200PT, mediator c/w voodoo 3 2000, sb128, 60G HDD,OS3.9,LITEON CDR, nec 4x4 changer,External Scan Doubler,Cocolino adapter,PS2 keyboard adaptor.

Morphos 2.6, mini mac g4 @ 1.25ghz.

I spend some money to have my A1200 upgraded, i bought a Mediator, Tower case, and my last bought a Blizzard PPC 060/240Mhz, and i very happy with my new upgraded Amiga. I never seen Workbench with a 060, it works really nice, i'm having some problems with VisualPrefs since i changed my Blizzard, i can't use image gadgets, but i'm using my Amiga more and more, i want to develop apps, games and intros for my Amiga... i'm recovering my Amiga work, i left it 5 years ago...
