Hi adz,

I'd certainly like to hook up when you arrive in bonnie Scotland. Might be able to suggest some nice photo locations too.
that should be about every two feet!  :lol:

@Cyberus

Thanks for the offer, but I couldn't do that to anyone, I really don't like making a burden of myself, but I'll certainly take you up on the offer of the tour, sadly it would only be a day tour as I won't have anywhere near the time over there as I'd like.

@cecilia

My socks shall remain on my feet or in my suitcase :-D

@X-ray

You being in Oz makes meeting you all the more cheaper :-D Seriously, work has been really flat out lately and with me trying to move into a new career I have even less time, so if I'm over committed with paying jobs I'll have to pass my place on the tour onto someone else and put my plans for visiting Scotland/UK back further.

@Wilse

I look forward to meeting you and local knowledge can't be beat when it comes to photography ;-)

@Brits, Scots etc.

If all goes to plan, and so far it looks like it will, I'll finally get to meet a lot of you, and as an added bonus, hear the myriad of pommie accents :-D

Something horrible has just occured to me, with bans on all hand luggage on flights to the UK from just about anywhere, all my camera gear is gonna have to ride in baggage, and there ain't a snow flakes chance in hell of that happening. I really hope these bans are lifted by the time I'm set to take off :-(

I'll be gutted (slang I picked up from my dad) if I don't get there, but I'd be even moreso if something happened to my gear, touring the UK without a camera would be like gouging out my eyes, it really means that much to me.

Edit...Hows that, 1666 posts...The century of the beast :-D

:-)

It turns out that hell or high water is an American expression, my mistake.

I'm sure you'll get to the UK. Travelling is so enjoyable! [and find it 'needed' as well. I get very restless if I haven't left the country for a while.] The only thing about the UK is, we only seem to have one month of consistently good weather in every twelve. August has been {bleep}e.

But that doesn't stop the estimated 200,000 Aussies living in London :-)
